Well, just tag her a few times with ENPCs , once she's your friend you can make her a follower and remove it. Else you could take it away from her using "the manipulator" found here on LL.

I think you can remove her helmet via console, by clicking Njada with a cursor, typing 'inv' (without brackets) and browsing her inventory in console with Page Up and Page Down keys. Once you've found the necessary item in her inventory, remember it's ID and type following: removeitem <ID> <number of items you wish to delete>
