LibertyPrime Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 I remember there was a tutorial here on LL a while back to change armor types, from heavy to light & vice versa, and even changing from 'Armor' to 'Clothing' (therefore, with no armor rating) with TES5Edit. Does anyone know how to do that?
Gameplayer Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Yes, Open the file. Find, "Armor", find the armor you want to change. Click it. rel rel gud. Now look at right panel. Look for Armor Type Right click it. Now select edit in the mini tab that pops up from right clickin it. Little window box comes up. In that box delete "Heavy Armor" and type in "Light Armor" Your not really done though. Cause now you have to change the Keywords of the Armor so you can qualify for Perks. You have to swap out Keywords HeavyArmor Something Something for Light Armor Something Something....Good way to do that is to find a Light Armor in the Armor section of the Skyrim.ESM You will also want to change the Material type because that also determines perk use. Also there is Chest, Boot, Glove, and Helmet Keywords....Make sure that each part has the right ones also for perk use. No you don't put the perk keyword there...The game will recognize that you are either wearing properly labeled MaterialIron, HeavyArmor, Chest Piece or not. Sorry this is not meant to be a tutorial....Just do like I did and start without one.
