BenChang Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 I recently adapted some mesh parts into a 'skeleton form' armor of sorts. For the problem, well, the pictures speak for themselves.  http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/l573/Vernancular/enb%202016_09_22%2016_20_07_10.png http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/l573/Vernancular/enb%202016_09_22%2016_20_16_03.png http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/l573/Vernancular/enb%202016_09_22%2016_20_31_02.png http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/l573/Vernancular/enb%202016_09_22%2016_20_27_33.png  I have tried  1. Using a different texture (downloaded a new retexture off of nexus for skeletons). Problem persists 2. Editing the shader types with nifskope. (skintint > default) Problem persists, and worse, I CTD after 0.5-1 second of equipping the skeleton armor. 3. Looking through the folder paths for the mesh texture. It is textures\actors\skeleton\Skeleton.dds which is the same path the vanilla skeleton uses and that suffers from 0 similar problems... 4. I noticed there are _sk textures in the armor meshes being used, so I attempted removing them after removing the skintint tag (to default). The second I equip the armor, I CTD.  The funny thing is, the helmet mesh has the _sk textures but not the weird overlay shown in the screenshots. Does anyone know what could possibly have gone wrong..?  Here is a link to one of the original files (the cuirass) where none of the fixes (1-4 listed above) were applied: https://mega.nz/#!Xd8x0J7Q!cBDCYRR0z4Y7yfMS7bBQX9ybNUn92p1FFZn8K0cP8O8
SepticSpoon Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 What enb are you running? Could try disabling it and test it out, see if that makes a difference.
BenChang Posted September 22, 2016 Author Posted September 22, 2016 This has absolutely nothing to do with the ENB, it is an isolated instance of bizarre texture behavior on this set of meshes alone. But for record's sake I disabled ENB and as expected it did absolutely nothing to fix the problem
