Weird CTD

So I have the weirdest issues with CTD. I installed a new mod, devious training, and removed YPS Immersive Fashion. I had to start a new game as it wasn't loading my game, which wasn't a huge deal as I wasn't too far into my playthrough. I then played for about 45 minutes on the new save to make sure that it was working choosing the second to bottom Slave on the run from her Master alt start so that I had a bunch of devious equipment to start with. I don't want to start that as my actual start but now when I try to start a new game it crashes. However, I can load that game up and it runs fine. Does anyone know why a new game won't work but loading my game will. I can also coc qasmoke from the main menu and that seems to be running fine too.
