Help with a BUG

Posted

Lately I've been getting a bug, sometimes when i pick up items from a container or a dead body. The game will now auto switch 1st to third person back and fourth. but only when in first person view. When i switch to third it doesn't happen, but when in first person the view switching happens.

 

Sometimes the bug won't happen, then sometimes it will, making me to force restart my oblivion.

 

Any ideas?

Yeah load order = complete mess with loads of conflicts.

 

Now to give you a more 'stable' load order.

I really want a new load order lol. Mine is a mess since i've been playing fallout 3 ' s cube experiment mod.

BOSS is at the beginning and the end of any good and stable load order for me.

 

I assume you've been using it, but maybe is your masterlist.txt no longer up to date ?

 

Next logical step to try would be to use Wrye Bash (latest version = v296), and I see that you already have a Bashed Patch. However, to me it seems too high in your current load order. Having used in the past some of the mods that I can see in your list, I know that the following can be successfully loaded into the Bashed Patch, with the relevant tags provided by BOSS (it's handled automatically in Wrye Bash v296, don't worry) :

Yep I use boss but I think your right the master list is very outdated.

 

About the bashed patched, some of the mods that should not be bashed, can be bashed with the correct tags. How do I do it? Lol

 

Lastly damn fov modifier is a wonder for me. Just hated to type fov 90 everytime I play. Lol

You can update your masterlist.txt through BOSS (you probably knew that, I am sure, just saying) :

BOSS suggests WB tags to use for known mods, as we can see on the log it creates (it's those dark red Bash tag lines) :

For example, for All Natural, tags = C.Climate,MustBeActiveIfImported

 

WB automatically detects the tags (mid-right part of the screenie) :

These tags are documented in the \Mopy\Wrye Bash.html file. You can look for "Bash tags", and should find a whole list of them :

You can manually add to them, if you wish, but once again, you probably shouldn't worry about it, if you don't feel comfy with that mass of information at this point. The tags BOSS suggests are fine/enough 95 times out of 100, and never wrong.

 

WB automatically takes these tags into account when building the patch :

I typically have nothing after my bashed patch, except mods that really need to be there : animations, or combat related mods most of the time. Some Lovers anims, some of Duke Patrick's, Unnecessary Violence or Deadly Reflex, (EDIT : I am not using it, but XEO also has to be past the patch), stuff like that :

Anything else, graphic enhancers (bodies, weapons, clothes, jewelry, etc.), lots of tweaks, mods that add land, NPCs, items, quests, etc., can (and should) be included to the WB patch.

 

The above might not help to immediately get rid of your bug, but it sure will help on the long run to get a more stable game, believe me :)

 

 

EDIT : Also, if the above doesn't make sense, feel free to say so. I'll just have to explain it better, I don't mind if it can somewhat help.

Thank you very much guys. Everything is aweeeeesomeeee now.

 

Just one thing, wrye bash 297 is really slow. Why is that? not unlike the previous version i use, it takes 3-5seconds when you disable an esp and delete one. + i get an error when bashing patch callled "autoname" but i was able tor rebuild a patch by using cbash feature
