Does the Creation Kit crash for anyone else when trying to edit Object mods?

Hello everyone. I'm trying to create a new object mod, but every time I open up the object mod window and right click NEW in the box to start adding effects, the creation kit just crashes. I can't add or edit any effects on mods without the CK immediately crashing. I know the creation kit is supposedly a little buggy, but I wanted to know whether this was something everyone else is experiencing, or is it just me. Is there an update I missed somewhere, or could it be something else?
