I have recently began undertaking converting armors for Bodyslide. Some have been fairly straight forward and others have been a real nightmare to deal with. I have quite a few armors I think are finished already and the conversions and I would like to start uploading my conversions sometime soon, but I keep running into an inherent problem.

For most of the armors I have been working with, using more normal slider values is easy to keep the conformity of the armor to the body. The more extreme slider values, however have proven much more difficult. I do understand perfectly well that more extreme values naturally have a greater difficulty of avoiding clipping.

To me, it seems I am simply lacking the number of vertices I need to keep a more uniform look and avoiding blocky looks. Does anyone know of any special techniques for helping maintain the very uniform and smooth appearance?

Note: I am aware of the smoothing tool, the increase/decrease mesh volume, and the move vertices tools though I might be unaware of more advanced techniques in using those tools.

Edit: I realized I need to clarify a little better the issue I am having. When shaping the armor, I will make sure the vertices are outside the baseshape but in between the vertices will be a crater as though the texture is not wrapping to the mesh properly anymore kinda like being sucked through the gaps in the mesh even though there's nothing for the texture to hold onto there. This means the texture is not taking a straight path from one vertices to another. I don't think this is related to a paint weights issue either.
