AriNoir Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Hi, I`ve got a strange issue with the Creation Kit for Skyrim. Everytime I switch back to the common data tab in the cell window my screen gets black. Reproduce: 1. Start Creation Kit. 2. Load data files. 3. Right click on any cell in cell view window and choose edit. Or click on world on menubar, then on cells... 4. Switch to any tab, for example lighting and then back to common data. Result: Screen gets black. Alt+Tab works as long as I hold the Alt key. While holding the Alt key I can close CK and my picture gets visible again. Ctrl+Alt+Del works also. Via Ctrl+Alt+Del I can restart the PC. When I choose Task Manager my screen gets dark again. I didn`t count how often I was able to reproduce this, but for 100% certainty it happened every time I switched back to common data. Can you reproduce this or did you already fix it? In both cases you would really help me by sharing your knowledge with me. Update: Ok, I already found out that you can work around this issue very easy. If you have the issue, just never go back to the common data tab if you switched to any other tab. Logic... The real problem I had was, I wanted to change the name of my cell. I wanted to do this by rightclick on my cell in cellview, then click on edit and there switch to interior data. But the textbar was greyed out so I couldn't change the name. The result was that I switched between the tabs, not knowing what to do, until my screen got black, cause I switched to common data tab at some point. So the black screen had nothing to do with my disability to chenge the cellname but it always happened when I tryed to do so. And it required a sigificant amount of reproductions until I noticed that this really only happens when I switch back to common data. And in the end I also found out how to change the cell name. If I enter the cell window via menubar, click on world and then on cells.. then go to interior data, the text box wont be greyed out.
