MORTHAL COMBAT! (Mod idea)

Just sharing an idea for a mod, perhaps someone with some actual skills might like it or find inspiration from it.

 

The idea of MORTHAL COMBAT is that it's a championship fighters league centered around entertainment, rather than fights to the death. You can participate in tournaments for each of the physical combat classes, one hand, two hand, unarmed and archery. To keep things fair the player and NPC would be equipped with matching gear, so you can't just walk in with your favorite OP weapon and OP armour and just pwn.

 

Each class has three medals, "Bronze" (or copper/Corundum), Silver and Gold; and are awarded according to how far in the tournament the player gets to, along with a monetary payout.

 

These medals would also be enchanted to provide boosts or temporary perks when worn.

 

If the player wins a gold medal in their tournament they may choose to participate in a grand championship tournament, taking on gold medalists from other classes to be crowned grand champion.

 

Functions:

 

The matches will be timed, the first to drop their opponent's health to X% or with the most percentage of health remaining at the end of the match, wins.

 

Weapons would be made to be non-aggressive, so that a wild arrow won't give you a bounty.

 

Medals are yours to keep, wear, sell, display or throw into a lake.

 

The championship ring must be defended, and the player must participate in a championship match at least once every so often or they'll be stripped of their championship. Therefor the ring would be a quest item and can't be removed. Defending the championship ring would be a single match, not a tournament.

 

The player may elect to be notified by courier when a new tournament is about to be held, and the player will be notified by courier if they're about to run out of time to defend their title.

 

Tournaments would be held once a week, the championship ring would be defended on the day of a tournament.

 

An arena platform would be spawned on the day of the tournament in Morthal, as well as spectators.

An interesting concept. 

 

I've seen a plethora of "arena" style mods over the years, but none have seemed refined enough to fully test.

 

One that could incorporate: fleshed out features, well placed structures (not thrown together rubbish), and a decent amount of interactivity--- would definitely be something I'd be willing to get behind.
