Mod organizer fails to start...

Well fellow adventurers , i guess i really did it now.

 

Mod Organizer fails to start.

 

I get an error window showing this:

 

failed to create D:/steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim/Mod Organizer/profiles/test/modlist.txt

 

What i was doing at the time:

 

I have 3 profiles: 1st one i was not doing anything with it. 2nd and 3rd i was enabling "local save game" first on the 3rd and then on the 2nd. 2nd was empty (no save games).

 

the 3rd profile had save game. After i pressed "local save game" on the 2nd. The 3rd profiles save games got transferred to the 2nd, while in mod organizer the 3rd save games did not list in the "save games" window (they where still in the profile folder in mod organizer however).

 

Well anyway after a while of trying to "fix" this while probably making things worse (I like to live dangerously) Mod organizer decided to go full snuke mode and lock up forever.

 

In a desperate mortal attempt at defying the cruelty of the computer gods (clicked the windows X button) Well here i am now, banished from the beautiful realm of Skyrim and to the windows desktop.

 

I'm guessing i have to reinstall, But still i thought perhaps i should leave this to my betters. i have figured there are a few mages here, perhaps even a scholar? who might undo this foul magics.

 

(Ha ha ok, enough rp )

 

On to the questions:

 

I would like to backup my saves, i did this. however if i reinstall, is it possible to just drag and drop saves into a newly made empty profile?

 

Would I have to do the whole edit of skyrim with Tes5edit again?

 

Also Need to backup my character presets in racemenu can the mod folder also just be dragged and dropped to the new install? plus i use ethereal elven overhaul, i might have some sliders missing if this does not come along?

 

I took some screens of the character sliders, rough way of doing it yeah, but i'm unsure exactly where the character preset is, i think maybe its the chargen file, but there is the dll file and two others in there.

 

Did i steal mod organizers sweetroll for this to happen or did it just bug out what the heck happened exactly?
