Virde Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 So about 24 hours ago I stumbled across a mod that honestly, should have been made a long time ago. It adds a toggle and user control option for TFC and TFC 1 on the number pad (or whatever you customized in the MCM). I am so amazed by the simplicity (and baffled at it only being mad enow), I had to share this mod with other communities since it hasn't gotten a lot of attention yet.  https://youtu.be/HHj7jWbs5Fk  <---Video Displaying it in work and discussing it.  http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/78389 <--The Mod itself.  I am probably more excited about this than I should be. But I take a lot of screenshots. Like, a lot. This mod is going to save me a ton of time in this. Just the speed control alone is going to be a time saver.Â
PervyPotter Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I usually use "ScreenShot Assist" http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33521/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D33521%26preview%3D&pUp=1 but I noticed "Better Free Camera" about half an hour after it was first posted on Nexus and decided to wait and see how well the author handled bug reports and user problems before downloading. Â After 24 hours he's already released 2 updates and seems keen on giving good support and advice, so I've downloaded it and will give it a try.
utopium Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Thanks for helping spread the word Virde, I really appreciate it. I am actually familiar with ScreenShot Assist but when I tried using it I found it a little cumbersome and buggy in areas. It is also not easy to find as if you do a search for "free camera" it won't immediately come up and it certainly took me a while to discover it. I named my mod Better Free Camera so that if someone who is frustrated by using the console commands and searches for "better free camera for skyrim" or something similar will easily find it in Google. The only other thing I could find was "TFC Key" which is not easy to configure and use at all. Â My general goal for this mod is to have something easy to use while at the same time doing as little as possible to break the game experience. I see this being used for a variety of purposes and not simply for taking screenshots. At the moment I think I have something relatively simple and stable for anyone who wants to avoid the console. Â Currently I am looking into creating my own plugin for SKSE so I can remove the dependency on PapyrusUtil and also implement other features like FOV controls. The only ways I could find to change the FOV through normal Papyrus scripting were really nasty hacks and likely to break the user experience. It might be a little while before the next update while I look into making this work. Â I may be a little out of touch over Labor Day weekend and with a vacation I have coming up soon, but I will certainly try my best to be responsive to problems people may experience and making improvements based on peoples suggestions.

utopium Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 I finally got around to implementing FOV controls and I think I came up with a method which should work well. Feel free to take a look and let me know what you think.

Feel free to take a look and let me know what you think. Seems good. I wonder if its possible to put a freecam while preforming killmove like in Fallout 4 (there u actually can start killmove animation type "tfc 1" and take screenshots but skyrim doesnt let camera move)? Would be cool if its possible.
