[DOA][already solved] requiring for help about editing Normal Texture

Hello, nice to see you all on LL!

I am working with a normal map and building new mods (http://bbs.3dmgame.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=5266793), and I come across something very funny. It does not seem to be a big problem, but I really need some help.

 

 

 

 

I just want to knwo how to edit the Normal Map .dds?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

details:

the normal map dds contains 2 layers of 512x512 map(the upper is normal, the lower is sweat).

When I input it into photoshop, it becomes 512x1024 for 1 layer, and it cannot be read by the DOA program....

when I input it into GIMP, it is still 512x512 for 2 layers, but when I want to output it, there is only 1 layer left.....

 

this is really kind of funny... 

 

do you know how to edit such thing?....
