I really don't know what I'm doing wrong, and I think I don't even want to anymore.

I've just wasted another day in an unstable and bitchy CK, just to achieve nothing. 

I've followed several guides, I have all the data, but still... I can't make a follower look the way I want him to look for my life's sake!

 

I checked all the mods the NPC would depend on, imported the .npc file, added hair, eyes and everything he should use as they are not saved, added an outfit, etc pp. Everything shows up right in CK (well almost everything, because I can't get his ears to show up either) 

But in the game my follower does have an ugly standard head, which is 100x paler than his body (which has the right color) on top of it... And off course it doesn't use the eyes I set, nor the hair and color or facegen data... 

 

I'm really done with ti. So would anyone who knows what he is doing please create my follower? 

I attached a file to this post, containing all the data I have and my attempt on creating an esp file. 

The guy can be found inside the Bannered Mere in Whiterun... 

 

Mods he uses: (If that even counts)

Younger faces without beards (5th file of Better Males downloads) 

True Eyes

Kijiko Hair

Race Menu ofc

 

Additional info: His full name is Arivain Alvarr, Redguard mage and does have Fire/Frost/Ice/Shock/Lightning spells, if I didn't screw that up too, but I really have no idea which spell works and which doesn't or how to set up classes right and whatsoever... *sighs* I didn't even want something fancy, just a mage would do... My esp file is included. (If it loads anyway) 

Hair is Shaggy hair, (short version) just in case it doesn't show in CK, as for me it doesn't. I can chose it but I never see it. 

 

I'd really appreciate it, if someone would be that kind. I'm at the end of my latin.

There is a possibility that you forgot to generate the NPC face.

 

Select the NPC (the follower) in the list of the ObjectWidow, and click on Ctrl+F4, this will generate the meshes and textures for the face.

I did that a thousand times. I even deleted my esp file and started over from scratch because the game refuses to accept his appearance, and after reloading the esp in CK CK does too, for whatever reason. And there's still the problem with his ears, I can't make them show up. (They're his usual ears, I just changed them through racemenu, but CK does seem to ignore that, too.

I even tried nifmerge now, it doesn't change anything. If this is the case because I can not check Update.esm in CK then there's no way this is going to work, as that stupid thing will crash whenever i come near Update.esm.

 

This is only frustrating at this point.

merged nif file results in the same thing. 

 

CK doesn't even save the settings I make. I always have to reapply eyes, brows and hair, saving the chargen file says that it's done, placing the NPC in the game even LOOKS right, I can see his hair and all the stuff. Saving to plugin, and launching the game has it back to the standard head again. Reloading the esp in CK (with all the esp files it depends on) shows the standard face again.
