Bodyslide Outfit Studio Help!

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I couldn't quite find what I was looking for. This may be a kinda long post I'm just trying to be detailed!

I've been messing around with Bodyslide2/Outfit Studio editing some meshes to get them to work with UUNP HDT bodies. I'm practicing doing this in preparation to hopefully make Squalls/Rinoas Armor from Final Fantasy 8 in 3DS MAx, then making them bodyslide compatible.

Anyways, the stuff I'm working on isn't that yet because I want to make sure I can get outfits in game fine before making the model. The stuff I'm working on is just trying to take mix and match some Shirt and pants meshes that fit over the UUNP HDT body. (Simple omake outfit stuff mixed with LUSH Gear SexyWaif stuff.)

I've run into issues when the outifts I've messed with are in game. The main issue is that there seems to be TWO different versions of the SAME outfit on the body when I equip the outfit I edited. I don't believe there are two instances of the mesh in my file because it doesn't show anythign in bodyslide not does it look like there are two instances of the mesh in NIFSkope either (maybe I'm wrong though?). The "outfit" I made conforms to sliders, but the other version of the same outfit that applies itself conforms differently, so there are protruding pieces of the body/clothes clashing with each other. I can see part of the boobs sticking out in some spots along the shirt that didn't show up in the bodyslide preview, and when using the sliders in game, there seems to be two different shapes being edited at once. I hope I explained that correctly, and when I get back from out of town I'll post a screenshot it it helps.

My process for using outfit studio:

- New Project

- Choose femalebody_0.nif from the skyrim/data folder for the REFERENCE file

- Choose whatever clothing NIF file I wanted to edit for the OUTFIT/MESH file

- Delete any extra bodies that may have been imported with the outfit file

- Import extra NIF files for additional clothing pieces (the pants)

- Import UUNP slider trimorphs

- Edit the outfit meshes to conform to the UUNP body

- Go through each slider one by one to conform the imported meshes to the slider options

(Here's where maybe a problem lies?)

- Added another BODY slider and conformed the outfit meshes to that

- Make sure sliders are checked for inverses (UUNP has several sliders inverted I believe)

- Copy bone weights to the outfit for HDT effects

- Save Project

Then:

- Open project in Bodyslide

- Edit sliders for _0 and _1 weights

- enable racemenue morphs tickbox

- build outfit

After the body slide stuff is done, I added the outfit using the creation kit:

- Make new armor addon

- Have it take BODY slot as well as slot 49 (same slot reference pants I used took). I wanted the body slot so that the new slider for the body mesh I made is visable with the outfit

- Make new armor

- Again have it take Body and slot 49, and link the armor addon to the armor

That process there has successfully got the new edited outfit in game, but it's not coming up correctly. The outfit looks fine in NIFSkope, OutfitStudio, and Bodyslide, even when using the sliders. There seems to be no clipping or anything whatsoever.

When I equip the outfit in game, it seems like two versions of the same outfit are equipped, and they are clipping with each other.

Could part of this possibly be the body mesh underneath clipping through the body mesh the outfit is supposed to replace? I do know that there are two of the same outfits trying to be applied in different setting when equipped because when I use showracemenu and edit the sliders in game, I can see the other outfit. For example, one of the meshes has a pink sweatshirt which I edited the breastwidth slider in game. When doing this, the shirt follows the boobs and they get wider apart, but then there is another mesh of the shirt and boobs underneath which doesn't seem to be affected as much by the slider (but it still is).

Could this also be because I tried adding a new body slider in OutfitStudio that was applied to the reference body mesh and now it's trying to make two copies of the body? I though I applied the outfit correctly and that the default body mesh would disappear and the outfit body mesh would take it's place. I wanted the bodymesh to look slightly different with the outfit I made, and it required me to make another slider that would apply to the body but just for the outfits I was making.

Anyways sorry for the long post. It anyone has any tips/pointers suggestions for me to try I'd greatly appreciate it! Maybe some more in depth tutorials as well! I tried converting the HDT Skirt over, but that just crahsed the Creation Kit and looked weird in NIFSkope, it looked fine in Bodyslide though!
