Guest Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Hey all, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but do any of you use the Resurrection mod? and if you do, do you use an ENB with it and what kind of FPS do ya'll see? I use it with Sugar Bloom and one moment it will be 65(I have it capped there) and the next it'll drop down to 40 sometimes 35. Not sure if I should blame my pc(specs are in my sig), the mod, enb or Fallout all together for the odd fps drops: p Side note: I have God rays and shadows on ultra. Shadow distance on low. 1920X1080. Thanks for any input!

Also you need to drop draw distances down to minimum, there a FPS eater not Godrays or Shadow, well on my system anyway! Your specs are fine!

I'll try dropping down the draw distance and see how it goes, it's just a shame that it runs so odd ya know? I want to take the enb off but it looks so good lo. When I go downtown it almost turns into a slide show in front of Goodneighbor.
Babychucker Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Is resurrection really that bad of an fps hit? I am running Regrowth mod with an enb at 4k with 2x 980ti and I get fps hits sure, but it stays at 40-60fps.
Guest Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 For me it seems to be. I can't continue with the brotherhood due to when I get into the vertibird to fly to the prydwen, all the trees around overload my gpu and the game crashes lol its actually kinda funny. I looked at Danse and said, "Well, I tried man." and killed him. My problem with the mod is that it looks so amazing that turning it off is just, not the same. You need some sort of NASA computer to run Fallout without any issues, and even then...

I don't use it anymore but that's more or less what I've done to make it run: - Install Resurrection Forest Edition - Overwrite with Seasons, Sprng Edition - Minify textures to 1K/2K, depending on the size (literally not much difference for me) - Remove some cell alterations via FO4edit from RESMod - Using a different grassmod (I forgot which one, I think Green Commonwealth - Performance Friendly Grass Mod) I got around 60 in the Wasteland and 35-45 around cities and building passages. Making Resurrection run on its own on top of a heavy load order will fuck with your game though.

I tried it out, all except for removing some cell alterations with FOedit(I'm not too good with that stuff or know where to even start) but I did the other suggestions and oddly enough I got worse fps. Not sure why too since some of the textures I was using as replacements were way smaller then the resurrection textures. I didn't have to much time to play with is but when I was inside diamond city, my frames tanked from 65 to 23. I did get a good laugh though cause for some reason, there is a floating pile of leaves and trees in the sky I never noticed and when I looked at it, my fps would drop to 7. Good times. Also odd, when I put everything back to normal, that pile was still there but didn't effect my fps.

That's really odd and I think the biggest performance factor - after some testing - are the added trees (obviously, I'm a derp), and not really the textures; I might work on reducing/replacing some trees over the wasteland and in case I'll get any good results without really annihilating this mod with a performance boost I'll let you know
