SexLab Full Install for v.162 installs 160 hotfix2 only. Why?

Hello all,

 

I haven't found a post about the issue I have with the latest Sexlab version. Well, I am using Win XP and I fear that might be the problem although there are some strange things going on.

 

Well, from the beginning:

 

I used SL 160 hotfix 2 for a long time. I installed creature animations but the version I had didn't let me check the creaturebox under animation-settings. However, I simply tried the latest version and "tataa" I was able to check the box and everything worked just fine.

 

However, a new install on a new drive happened and all of a sudden the full installer just gets me as far as 160 hotfix2 as if I had installed a wrong file. Now the mystery! I retried and all of a sudden it installed everything as it should and I actually had v.162 up and running.

 

Anyway, I had to reinstall everything yet again. And with Framework as the only Sexlab related file in my loadorder I was never again able to get it to install 162.

 

Ok, not entirely true. I simply tried the update file (161 to 162. Not even 16002 to 16200) in addition to the full install file. And that despite all my negative expactations did the trick.

 

The problem though is that :

 -the update comes with a new Sexlab.esm that overwrites the one from the full installer

 -the Sexlab.esm shouldn't be at the very end of the loadorder but

 -when I move it up, right under the main file in the loadorder and start the game it switches back to 16002.

 

 

And then again, the v.162  full install file doesn't properly install for whatever reasons except on fullmoon nights. I shouldn't have to fix it with weird methods anyway and I don't want to wait until fullmoon

 

 

Am I the only one with this strange problem?

I would believe it if you say it is because I am using Win XP but then again it did work before.

 

 

Does perhaps anyone out there have an idea about what could be going on here?

I am just too curious if there is may be any insight on this by now so I had to bump this.
