Mages Robes annoying bug

Hello guys !

 

I have a weird annoying bug in my game. I play as a mage and immersion is very important to me. But in my game the novice robe texture is exactly the same than the apprentice robe and i have no idea why. When i play as a male everything is okay, but as a girl the robes looks the same. Also, the bug seems to be only for my character, since Brelyna's apprentice robe looks perfect.

 

I dont really know what to do, thanks in advance for the answers.

Are you playing a custom race perchance? Do you have any bodymods installed?

I am playing as a nord, the vanilla race. And i just checked my game. The robes textures is the wrong one for everyone, not just my character.

 

And i have a robe mages robes retexture mod activated, but even when i uninstall it, the vannila texture of the apprentice robe is the novice robe texture...

 

And yes, i am using a CBBE Bodyslide body

The different textures for apprentice/novice robes are handled by texture sets. These are applied to specific NiTriShape blocks in the robes nif.

 

The correct(vanilla) order is :-

1: Robes 

2: Body/Skin

 

The game applies the texture variations to the first NiTriShape in this instance.

 

If you are are using a mesh replacer for the robes and the NiTriShapes are in a different order, for example :-

1: Body/Skin

2: Robes

 

The game still applies the texture to the first NiTriShape, but the body/skin then gets overwritten by the default body textures, which is why you don't see any weird body textures in game.

 

You can either move the NiTriShape blocks around in NifSkope until they are in the correct order, or use the creation kit to change which block has the texture set applied to it.

So yes, im using edited meshes for those robes to match my bodyslide body. And i tried to remove the edited meshes and it fixes the texture issue.

 

But what you are telling me to do seems to be a bit to complicated for me. There is no ways to generates clean meshes with bodyslide ?

 

 

EDIT: I fixed it by using different bodyslide files for it. Thanks to lead me on the right direction Dillpickle
