Drummerd3 Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Just posting my mod I just released on the nexus at http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=17642 <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> DD3's Phenotypes for CBBE <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> v0.5 Sections Description Installation Known Issues/Incompatibilities How to install custom bodies using BodySlide Credits and Thanks Description This mod creates three different phenotypes (body types) in Skyrim (females only for now), both for the player to choose from, and distributed randomly among NPCs. The three body types will use the in-game body-size slider correctly as well, effectively tripling the variety of bodies. All vanilla clothes and armor that have been converted by Caliente here have been included, and more will be added as they are converted. For each of these clothes and armors, there are three separate items, like so (using studded armor as an example): "Studded Armor" - Body 1 "Studded Armor [noparse][/noparse]" - Body 2 "Studded Armor [V]" - Body 3 Equipping these will basically morph you into the appropriate body type. If you install the scripted version, you can choose a body type and you can't equip armor or clothing that doesn't fit. This brings me to the various options for the mod. First option - Nonscripted/Scripted Nonscripted: The player and all the NPCs have Body 1 when no armor is equipped to them. You and all NPCs can wear any armor or clothing, wearing the one with the appropriate tag will make you appear to have that body type. Pros: Should be compatible with nearly all mods (see compatibility section for details) Cons: It's a little strange for a dead NPC to suddenly drop (or gain) 3 cup sizes when you loot their armor off of them, and you don't get to see bodies 2 or 3 in the nude. Scripted: You choose a body type when a save is first loaded or a new game is started with this mod activated. From this point on, you can't equip armor that doesn't match your body type. When no armor is equipped, you'll have you're appropriate body type. NPCs will be randomly be assigned a body type as well, and should also have their appropriate body type when naked. Pros: It's cooler. I've tested it a bit and works as intended for the most part. Cons: This option is a BETA, meaning if it causes mayhem (crashes your game, breaks your save, doesn't play nice with other mods, randomly undresses people, etc) don't come crying to me, I warned you. Don't be scared off, it's worked well for me so far, I'm just sayin. Second option - Body types: Calinte's/Mine/Yours Caliente's: "Vanilla" as Body 1, "Slim" as Body 2, "Curvy" as Body 3. Mine: Uses bodies I made in BodySlide using CB++ (you can find CB++ at LoversLab). "Average" as Body 1, "Slim" as Body 2, "Voluptuous" as Body 3. These are just bodies made according to my tastes, thought I'd share (Note I use the word "Average" for lack of a better word... More of a bottom-heavy body. See pics for comparison) Yours: By replacing the right meshes in your Data folder, you can mix and match any bodies for phenotypes exactly to your liking using bodies and clothing/armor models you made in BodySlide. Detailed instructions further down. Installation 1.) You need the right textures. Install the textures from CBBE. If you already have CBBE installed in its entirety, that's fine too, you'll just need to overwrite some of it later. 2.) Download and install "[Required] Phenotypes - ESPs" and either "[Choose One] Phenotypes - Caliente's Bodies" OR "[Choose One] Phenotypes - DD3's Bodies". If you want to use custom bodies (made in BodySlide, etc) then only install "[Required] Phenotypes - ESPs", and scroll down for detailed instructions on how to use custom bodies. BONUS: If you installed "DD3's Bodies", you can also install NoMaaM Breathing Idles and the skeletons from CCHSBHC - BBP for extra bouncing! 3.) Activate Phenotypes - Main.esp 4.) If you want to use scripted mode, install SKSE, and activate Phenotypes - Scripted.esp (Make sure to load it AFTER Phenotypes - Main.esp) Known Issues/Incompatibilities Known Issues Major: (Scripted version only) I suspect that very strange things might happen if you give a companion an armor that doesn't fit them, up to and including crashing Skyrim... Untested. Minor: (Scripted version only) NPCs with no clothes. Clipping with some armors for my body types, especially for "Slim." Incompatibilities Will interfere with any mod that edits leveled lists for clothing and armor (changes levels at which different armors appear). The scripted version MAY additionally interfere with mods that edit any of the converted armors and clothes. How to install custom bodies Ok, for this to work, you need to have BodySlide 1.3 from CBBE and the add-on for the vanilla armors, downloadable here. 1.) Make new folders til you have the following directories: "Skyrim\data\meshes\actors\character\character assets\caliente" "Skyrim\data\meshes\armor\caliente\normal\slim" "Skyrim\data\meshes\armor\caliente\normal\voluptuous" "Skyrim\data\meshes\clothes\caliente\normal\slim" "Skyrim\data\meshes\clothes\caliente\normal\voluptuous" 2.) Create and save the body, clothes, and armors you want for body 2 like you normally would with BodySlide. 3.) Move the following folders from "Skyrim\data\meshes\armor" to "Skyrim\data\meshes\armor\caliente\normal\slim"... "Bandit" "Hide" 4.) Move the following folders from "Skyrim\data\meshes\clothes" to "Skyrim\data\meshes\armor\caliente\clothes\slim"... "Barkeeper" "BeggarClothes" "Blacksmith" "Chef" "FarmClothes01" "FarmClothes02" "FarmClothes03" "FarmClothes04" "ForswornArmor" "MerchantClothes" "MinerClothes" "Prisoner" "Wench" 5.) (You can skip this step if you're not using the scripted version) Move "femalebody_0.nif" and "femalebody_1.nif" from "Skyrim\data\meshes\actors\character\character assets" to "Skyrim\data\meshes\actors\character\character assets\Caliente" and rename them "femalebody1_0.nif" and "femalebody1_1.nif" respectively. 6.) Create and save the body, clothes, and armors you want for body 3 like you normally would with BodySlide. 7.) Repeat steps 3 and 4, replacing "slim" with "voluptuous." 8.) (You can skip this step if you're not using the scripted version) Move "femalebody_0.nif" and "femalebody_1.nif" from "Skyrim\data\meshes\actors\character\character assets" to "Skyrim\data\meshes\actors\character\character assets\Caliente" and rename them "femalebody2_0.nif" and "femalebody2_1.nif" respectively. 9.) Create and save the body, clothes, and armors you want for body 1 like you normally would with BodySlide. 10.) Enjoy! Credits and Thanks Bethesda for making Elder Scrolls, and for giving us the tools to make the games whatever we want! Caliente for CBBE and Calientes Vanilla Armor for CBBE stuffed_bunny for Bodyslide CB++ Me
xiro8877 Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 The more diversity NPC's have the better! Thanks for your work!
Drummerd3 Posted May 26, 2012 Author Posted May 26, 2012 The more diversity NPC's have the better! Thanks for your work! Whew, glad somebody enjoyed it. I'm pretty sure everyone at the nexus is either annoyed or confused or maybe that's just the people that leave comments. Either way, thanks for the support!

I'm pretty sure everyone at the nexus is either annoyed or confused or maybe that's just the people that leave comments. Either way, thanks for the support! [/quote'] Meh. You win some you lose some. Take the criticism you like and apply it. Kill the trolls, and improve the mod. As long you enjoyed making it and it's improved your game it's a win. You can't please everyone dude. Just think of it this way. With so many leechers and so few modders you've likely already done more than 80% of the people that badmouth you.

[/quote'] Good points all that really matters is that I enjoy it, and if a few others happen to enjoy it too that's just a cool bonus. Btw, I made a small update to the mod, nothing huge. I updated the meshes to have more realistic waists, and I also integrated the ESPs into the body packs, to simplify installation... The updated version is on the nexus, but if anyone wants me to update the files here for any reason, just post and I'll do it when I have a minute. I'm just too lazy at the moment haha.
Mordyn Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Great mod here But why BodySlide is mandatory? Is it not possible to use completely different body (for example ADEC) with a set of modified clothes using different paths like you do? And not only clothes, but armors too...?

Thargon Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I am working on my own version of a Phenotypes mod myself right now, and your work is not only appreciated, but I understand all too well how much work it is. My own mod, for reasons far too complex to go into here, does not play well with other mods. In a very real sense, it is a Total Conversion Mod for Skyrim, or perhaps a better way to state it would be an Alternate Universe Conversion. Much like the re-imagined Battlestar Galaxtica, or the new Star Trek. Also, my mod involves a kind of "Mana" (alternate form of Magicka with special scripted spells) generated by coupling with a "Harem" of seduced women, and there are Mana Generation bonuses for "Variety or Matches" depending on whether you go for "X of Kind", a "Straight" or a "Flush". It also heavily involves the theme of having a Clan Castle with a Crèche of your offspring children you have to protect from birth to adulthood from competing Clan Assassins and Ransom Seeking Abductors. Consequently, I will have : Nord Baby - Just an animated bundle of blankets Nord Toddler - A quite small retextured version of the female child Nord Mite - A small version of vanilla children Nord Child - the default from vanilla Nord Nymph - a flat chested waif based on the X117 body Nord Svelte - a slim wan figure based on the Molni body Nord (Vanilla) - UNPB Nord Warrior - Athletic bulging viens and muscles CBBE Athletic Nord Petite - small lithe frame with modest breasts UNP Skinny Nord Endow - Large busty body based on TSAG_Body_v2 Nord Buxom - CHSBHC Body Nord Plump - RBBB Body Nord Prime - Older, Sagging version of UNPB?, haven't decided yet, Nord Mature - Similar to current Elder, but with body to match face Nord Crone - Something Saggy, Baggy and dried up All of the new races are both male and female, but for the sake of easy distinction, I track by female names. None are playable. Given my Objectives, I have no choice, with the single body limitations of the Skyrim Engine, but to use the Horrible Hack approach of a bunch of separate psuedo-races, each creating a new Phenotype. Obviously, any body type below sexual maturity are off limits to the sex animations/actions. I am still hacking through how to do the sex animations, and may just replace with a vague and brief cut scene(s). The seduction / sex is part of the overall theme, but not a major part of the tactics and strategy of the Internecine warfare game play. At any rate, I certainly can appreciate the time and effort put into your mod, and wish I could simplely adopt it. But my mod requires scripts, faction aliances, vending and other race dependent variables which require the ugly psuedo-race hack. I first saw your mod on Nexus, and yes, there are people out there who appreciate it.
Doc_Ctdm Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I've been using this mod for a while now, but I was wondering if anyone has made any improvements. It's a good idea and all, and it seems like it ~just about~ works like you'd expect. A few more small changes would make it really effective. For example, it doesn't actually work with most armors. Also, this is the only mod of this type that I know of. Multiple custom bodies is a really good idea, but like I said, I just wish it was more complete.
