I'm trying to find the .nif file I need to load using Nifskope to change the female genitals in the 0sex mod to the male genitals. They have a simple instructions on the 0sex mod page on the nexus site, but the file they seem to be loading is called "scene root", which I was unable to find in any of my directories. I'm up to date on all my 0sex and SexLab files, as I reinstalled them yesterday. If anybody can help me figure out how they did what they did, I would really appreciate it.

Hello.

If I understand correctly you are trying to alter a body mesh (the NIF file) for female characters (or a specific race, it does not really matter.)

Depending on the actual body mod you are using, you may have slightly different names for the "root" of the body.

For example, the default NIF for female body of CBBE is "Scene Root".

The same for UNPB and 7Base.

But not all body meshes may respect this. Because the actual root name is not really important.

i think iirc, scene root isn't a file but a setting in a .nif file

That is correct.

A NIF file is a set of nodes and subnodes that define the mesh.

Grab NIFSkope and edit the NIF file, you will see 99% the "Scene Root" node as the main node of the NIF file.

My question is which specific NIF file do I edit? I have CBBE, I just can't seem to locate the correct file they mention on that tutorial to edit. I found a NIF that had the BGED file they were describing, but only under malegenitals_0.nif and malegenitals_1.nif for SOS. I cannot find a file in any of my directories referencing to a femalegenitals.nif type file, which I imagine would be the one I need to change, but it doesn't exist. So I have no idea how they find such a file in the tutorial I've been attempting to follow.

I think it will be better if you ask for support in the 0Sex thread.
