CTD semi-randomly

Recommended Posts

So I quit skyrim a while ago because I kept CTDing and I really didnt care enough to trouble shoot it at the time. I did my normal troubleshooting like load order and turnings mods on and off but it have no idea how to read papyrus logs and I've looked up guides on how to do that and it doesn't seem to be accurate to what I myself am seeing. As for the CTDs themselves, they generally happen when i try to access any kind of menu. My frame rate hovers around 55-60(capped) when its not raining so im sure this isnt a VRAM problem. I just dont know what is causing this.

Load Order: http://pastebin.com/EzyX0ujW

Load order has been optimized through LOOT a while ago and all mods are properly cleaned and there is nothing missing according to LOOT.

Your papyrus log is very short. Did you crash at only 2 min playing? Or did you just enter the game and then quited so you generate a papyrus log? if this is the case then i am afraid it wont help us, since we would need a papyrus with information when a CTD happened

Also some useful information

- Your OS

- MO or NMM?

- Load order / mod list

- Are you using ENB? (or at least ENBoost)

Most common cause of CTD is memory allocation issues. If you have SKSE installed make sure you have a SKSE.ini created with the default values. In order to properly know if SKSE memory patch is working you should make a try with memory block

If you need help understanding how to use that tool look at this detailed video

I logged in and played untill it crashed.. I was in a river while raining. I ran up to a guard and shot at him then it crashed shortly after. Im using windows 10, NMM, load order i think was included in the OP, its the load order NMM generated. and yes i am using ENBoost, not sure which one. Possibly the latest since i was trying the tetracolor enb. ill try the video and the mods mentioned and edit this post again.

EDIT: This turned out to be a lot more involved than i was expecting. to the point where i forgot i was watching a video entirely and things arent lining up properly among the sources im reading on. the gopher video must be out of date or something because i cant find the skyrim memory patch at all

The video is not outdated and the link to the memory block mod is on the video (author) comments
