is it normal for the creation kit to be laggy as fuck? also the stuff in my render window looks shitty and jagged, is that  also normal?

100% normal.

Don't worry too much about it.

 

The rendering engine of the CK is a subset of the game. And some custom items are just not rendered.

Yeah as CPU said the renderwindow needs some time. If you use CK you need to be patient and save a lot because it tends to crash randomly too.

 

Also i personally recommend some edits to the Skyrimeditor.ini.

If you expirience a warningmessages-spam on startup set bShowErrorMessages to 0.

To make custom ressources load properly in the renderwindow i'd recommend to add them to the sresourcearchivelist in the Skyrimeditor.ini .

In the installation folder of Skyrim, if you use CK directly.

Or inside the Profile folder of MO, if you run CK from MO.
