RevansHeir Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Currently using NMN, but seeing as how there are zero sex mods for it, I have been planning to make the switch. My question is this, I have a lot of mods installed already, in the NMN, and if I make the switch is there a way to just integrate them from one manager to the other, or do I have to keep track of everything I currently have when I uninstall the NMN and reinstall them using MO?Because that would be a drag.
Arthacs Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 If I'm not mistaken MO can import nmm profiles, but I'm not sure, when I went over to MO a long time ago I started with a fresh skyrim install. -When using MO your Skyrim folder should not contain any mods, only SKSE (not data folder part), ENB, CK and a few other minor things like Champollion-V1.0.1-x64 and stuff for merging plugins. So if MO can import mods and profiles from NMM, be sure that skyrim folder is clean after import. -Also when starting to use MO, click the configure tab and activate bsa extraction, that way u will always see what's overwriting what in the left tab (installed mods). -TES5Edit, LOOT, bodyslide, Wrye plus any other external programs should be run through MO. btw, all sexmods can be installed with nmm if they can be installed with MO (at least they should), but MO is much better to use than NMM (in my opinion).

MO is the far superior modmanager for many reasons, but if your only motivation for a switch is the misconception that you can't use of sexmods with NMM, it can do that just fine. After you downloaded a mod from LL you just use the "Add mod from file"-option in NMM and chose the zipfile you just downloaded.

I have already made the switch, as I have consistently heard that MO is a stronger program and luckily for me, there was an import. I know these might seem like simple questions to some, but I am generally pretty new to this so I appreciate the help from everyone in the community. I am currently trying to fuddle around to figure out how to automatically send the NXM files from Nexus to MO, seeing as it does not automatically do so, contrary to what the original post said, which just means I probably didn't set something up. Thank you all for your help.
