LucidAPs Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 So i am just a beginner learning here i wanted to make a high poly version of a shrine model and the editing and mesh is working fine in game , the texture is not correctly applied aka the uv map is wrong. Although in Cinema 4D the texture is applied correctly and the UV Map appears fine On nifskope it's a different story. This is the final nif https://mega.nz/#!3p4BlZJL!aBPjUEn_rzXwZRWSnZkLiY0l9nmQX2XtohcaTZyGP2w This is the .obj and .mtl https://mega.nz/#!i5xRmSzA!rQKTbiphARv7yqcKwwAgfhPVRKG2cv33R_bFyFxijB0 https://mega.nz/#!n8hSCACC!B7aYj0IAYI_3Zl45KwgAgYmsW46eZ8QDRZ-i6rhGA4Y Any help would be greatly appreciated
par6six6 Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Since you attached an .obj file, I'm assuming Cinema 4D can only export .obj files and you tried to import that into the existing shrineakatosh.nif. Object import is broken in v1.1.3 and up of Nifskope, hence the mess you now have. If you really want to learn modeling, use 3DS Max or Blender, as they have the community support to handle actual .nif files.
Kastagir Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 You must export this as a .nif with one of the supported .nif export plugins. Take a look at the niftools import/export plugins for Blender or 3D Studio Max. If you don't use these plugins to export the mesh, it won't be in the proper format to be usable in Skyrim. Obviously, you will have to use the applications they're made for.
LucidAPs Posted June 7, 2016 Author Posted June 7, 2016 Jesus really? Well i suppose i can use 3ds Max for just the exporting part and do the editing in C4D. Thank you for the help
