lord1122 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Iv'e installed some mods (~255) and everything was fine. Sometimes i had CTD's but nothing serious. Then opened the launcher to adjust some shadow settings. It detected my hardware and said it changes the settings from very high to high. I made my change at the shadows and started skyrim again and all of a sudden i had a really low framerate. So i fought my way through the stutters to the map and traveled to a cave in the wilderness. After a incredible long loading time(literally 3 minutes) i arrived at the location. The framerate were still bad. I saved and quitted, fired up Fraps and restarted Skyrim. 7 FPS all the time. I quitted again and changed the quality to very low. Tested again and nothing changed. I started a new save and in the character creator i had a low Framerate already. I uninstalled EVERY mod i had. I use NMM and didn't disabled but unistalled the mods. This took round about 2 hours. Then i started skyrim again and nothing changed. Still a terrible FPS of 4-8. So i reinstalled all the mods again(maybe one of the mods did some .ini changes without my knowledge) and after 2 hours of waiting and googling I tried again to make a new game. Still terrible FPS at chacter creator. I tried to load my real save(the one at the cave) and after a waiting time of 10 minutes i gave up and quitted the game. I rebooted my PC, nothing changes. Currently i install a new skyrim on my other hard drive. Has anyone an idea what could have happened and/or how to fix this? Sry I forgot about the Spoiler. Well, everything was fine until i let the Launcher change my Settings to a lower quality
Guest Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Again, try two things: 1) Start a new game and check if the FPS is good or not. 2) On your existing save, try a save cleaner tool, by removing all orphan scripts.

Checked that already Again, try two things: 1) Start a new game and check if the FPS is good or not. 2) On your existing save, try a save cleaner tool, by removing all orphan scripts. Well I just got a similar problem just today, but my problem was the FNIS I don't know maybe it got corrupted or who knows but after I reinstalled it everything started working like it was before, I would advise you to take a little time and learn about mod organizer and how it works, it can be confusing at the beginning but it is an amazing mod organizer and it's easy to use once you get the hang of it, also you can troubleshoot many things way quicker that with nexus mod organizer.
Tefajo Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I know that you said you checked, but if you had an enb preset runing and you used launcher again then its very likely that some settings on your *.ini files changed to default and they should be changed back to off or what ever your ENB preset mod creator states. Here are a few guidelines to check (copy pasted from real vision mod page) 1. Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) and Wrye Bash users open the Skyrim menu through Steam. Mod Organizer (MO) users run Skyrim Launcher through MO.2. In the options section, turn off Antialiasing, Anisotropic Filtering, and FXAA. (in the advanced section)3. In your video driver, set the features from step 2 and Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) to "Application-Controlled" (Nvidia) or "Use application settings" (AMD). Only do this for Skyrim.Nvidia users look here and here to see the required driver settings. AMD users will have similar settings.(If you prefer driver forced Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), you are free to enable it in your videodriver settings, but don't forget to set EnableAmbientOcclusion=false in enbseries.ini in Skyrimfolder after install step 4!) Set this value in Skyrim.ini:[Display]ipresentinterval=1 <--- this combined with EnableVSync=true in enblocal.ini is important to avoid tearingSet these values in SkyrimPrefs.ini:[imagespace]bDoDepthOfField=1 <--- turn it to 0 if you want crystal clear underwater[Display]bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 <--- IMPORTANT! Without this value, ENB is not working correctly!bTreesReceiveShadows=1bDrawLandShadows=1 <--- if you are using a Performance version and got ugly landscape shadows then set it to 0bShadowsOnGrass=1iMultiSample=0 <--- turning it to 0 is the same as setting Antialiasing to off in skyrimlauncher.iMaxAnisotropy=1 <--- turning it to 1 is the same as setting Anisotropic Filtering to off in skyrimlauncher.bFXAAEnabled=0 <--- turn it to 1 if you prefer Skyrim FXAA, but deactivate EdgeAA in enblocal.ini to avoid too strong blur.
