hmm no mods so not totally sure. Have you just re-installed or totally deleted all of the game and did a full clean install? Also not sure but I always had problems with Saves and stuff left over in my "User name/Documents/my games/Oblivion" That would botch up my new installs, I would always have to delete that.

The following sentences are written by the machine translation.

I think that the following methods are good though it doesn't seem to be able to do adequate advice because the concrete situation is not understood.

Specifying MOD that causes CTD to preserve once by the character newly purely made to which any MOD is not added, to add MOD one by one, and to be generated takes a roundabout way and thinks that the earliest solution.

One more time: Use this mod to start the game outside of the sewers anywhere you want--it's very good. I use it most of the time.

ok I will try it just after i update every single thing on my pc... I also bealive that a virus or something like mallware is maybe the cause. I am now also runing a full scan and i also realized that my Vista is not updated... The strangest thing is i didnt make any changes on software i just installed a new fan on the pc and in all scans(memory, disc, etc) nothing is wrong... My search for a solution is now 2 days long and nothing of this ever happened before after a couple of reinstall and all this months enjoying the game...

I remember it happening to me also but it was years ago and I don't remember why, but, I have this feeling that I had to reinstall the game again and then everything was fine.

When the crash on sewer exit happened to me it was something with odd meshes on the outside world cells or something, but with a clean oblivion install I cant figure what would cause that =/

Last idea is that its not your game at all but perhaps your Video settings. When exiting the sewers your comp gets slammed with all that water and trees so maybe try using the lowest graphic settings possible then moving up from there.

You've deleted your old Oblivion .ini in the my games folder for this new reinstall right? If so try adjusting some graphics settings (sometimes HD, bloom or shadows can cause problems).

You could also check if any background processes (antivirus scans, software updates, etc) could be messing with oblivion.

Here's an example from me: Yesterday I went into Skingrad, later I tried to leave by the same gate--and crashed. Over and over--no matter I changed.

I finally said f:dodgy:%% it and went out the other gate and around Skingrad and back home--I don't use Fast Travel. Oblivion is tempermental--you have to go around it when it doesn't want to work that's why I still suggest an alternate start mod. (To get you out of the sewer.)

Ok I think i now what is the big problem! Its not OBLIVION!! yeahhh!!!

I am going to format my system and I am going to install a new OS and I bealive that this can and I really hope that i can finnaly solve my problem as no more Oblivion for me is not an option!

No sucess...

Ok I now have XP installed all drivers updated and the same thing persists... I can play nicely true the first fase of the game but when I out of the sewers the same error but this time in XP I get a beautifull BSOD... I tried to fix this as I read many post in other sites about this issue but the strangest fact is that I allways could play oblivion without any problem until a few days ago as I sad early.

I bealive now that this could only be an Hardware issue so I am thinking in buying a new PC... I allready spented to much hours trying to solve this and I am about to quit playing oblivion or buying a new pc as i tried everything that i could read and find online... I will try one last thing that is install oblivion in C: in XP altough i tried that before whit Vista...

SUCESS!!! I solved this problem!!! I back to oblivion yeahhh!!

Ok so here it is... I fixed the Stackhash_2ccd on windows vista and a BSOD on windows xp in oblivion. It all started when i changed one simple fan on my pc. For months oblivion run ok in my old pc an AMD Athlon 2600x 1.5g ram and GC ATI Radeon 9550 x1050 series with many mods.

Suddenly after changing the fan i started to get an Appcrash called Stackhash_2ccd on OS vista home edition. I began to try to solve this issue by updating every simple thing on my pc. Next I did a LOT of clean installs and still no sucess. Then I tryied xp and a clean pc format the game always gives me an BSOD end i exit the sewers! If I moved the mouse to the sides very fast the game collapsed instantly and if I didnt turn the mouse fast i could almost reach the door at Vilverin the ruin in front of the sewer...

Now I was going berserk and I called a friend that is a informatic engenier or something like that. He said the issue was or the fan that as giving a error in the motherboard or the graphics card as about to die... Of course my lack of more knowledge and talking by the phone made it hard to explain correctly my problem but in the end I tryed this simple and easy thing that worked like a charm!!

I just rebooted my BIOS!!! Yap only this and no more BSOD no more errors and Cyrodill is back on my PC and running even better on XP!! I may not be an expert in informatics but i also have some knowledge and this one has a bitch to solve... lets hope that the mods I am installing now dont crash my game again...

I hope that someone that had this issue try this and please let me know if i could help someone! And for all off you that tryied to help me a big THANK YOU! This is the best oblivion comunity!

No, the likely problem is Bethesda, the company that made the game.

Quite simply put, to the people that make the game, you are unimportant, and as such they don't bother to test or anything.

Or to put it simply: it's a Bethesda game, reinstall it until it works.

Its not the game imself that I am having issues its the motherboard that is just dying... No oblivion for me for sometime... But i will be back!

By the way can anyone tell me how to know if my graphics card is just broken?

Well you can stress test it to see. For example I have a 560ti Evga nvidia card. From the Evga site I can download a program called "OC scanner X". This program has several features one of which is to test your GPU. ATI will have similar programs.

So just go to the web page of your cards manufacturer and grab the testing tool that they have an run it.

Generally a good indicator that a card is going south on you is screen artifacts.
