Things are coming!  I'm back up to being able to put in 4+ hour days at least (which is less than usual) and there should be a August release of 6m4 to my patrons.

Just keep in mind this is what i want to release, but I'm assuming that I don't take a step back again.  I'm feeling much better and think I'm past the worst of it, but don't want to promise atm.

 

Assuming that I am past it, August will be a full month of development and you should see me back to my usual productive self for 6m5.

We started beta testing Harem c6m4 yesterday, getting the kinks out of it.  Well, beyond the sexual kinks, because Harem is full of them!

 

Harem c6m4 will be a shorter release (due to June/July illnesses) but there will be quite a bit happening in them.  Sarah's earned a reward for helping you with Rachel, and Rachel owes you more than a quick kiss for helping her.  Time to get both of those done!  We're also going to re-open Corsix, having some more events for Leona and Fiona while we're there and opening up some areas we'll need for Cecilia/Rhea/Alena and Edrin in 6m5.

Harem c6m4 released!

I’m very happy to release Harem c6m4 to all my Patrons.  The core of the chapter 6 main plot has been resolved, it’s now time to start going over these lands and seeing what there is to see.  There’s a beautiful redhead trying to start her own business, and it’s time that you start getting up into her business.  The enigmatic Leona is still in Corsix, and with Vanessa in your harem, it’s time to head back there.  But we can’t ignore the women already in your harem.  Sarah, Samantha, Vanessa, and Cecilia all deserve more attention than you’ve given them to date!  Although for very different reasons…

With Harem c6m4.2 released, I can move my attention 100% to the development of the next content addition. What I’m hoping that Harem c6m5 will include (roughly in order of likelihood)

 

-Vanessa and Marianna conversation, possibly with a follow up scene with Vanessa

-The next step in The King’s Pleasure sequence. You’ve gotten what you absolutely must have out of the elegant brothel, but a brothel full of beautiful courtesans is something that ‘Ralph’ cannot ignore. But will Selene be willing to let you do additional business after taking Ariel from you? Will you have a chance to see more of the beautiful young Alison?

-Additional content for Noemi and the winner of this month’s Patreon poll. While her reward didn’t make it into c6m4, Noemi definitely has more content coming.

-Additional content for both Fiona and Leona. I’ve been working with t51b and we think we’ve brainstormed a bit of content you all will love! And you might even get to capture Mary if you already own Fiona.

-The chance to capture Rhea on the dark path and Alena on the light. I have this plotted out, the question is how far I can get into that story in time.

-An additional scene for Rhea and Alena in their normal route.

-The breaking of Cecilia. I’m running into a writer’s block on this one. I have 3 different ways of making her your slave for good. One dark, one light, one neutral (for this game, neutral is still pretty nasty). The issue I’m running into is to give you all a choice as to how it happens. In path, they all work. Justifying the actions out of path is proving harder.

-If by some miracle I get through all the above, I’d love to move the Eldari plot along, stick it to Rachel again, spend some quality time with Phoebe, put Jessica up on stage at Earthly Desires, take a nice long … walk ...with Eleanor or Isabella. Ultimately, I have all kinds of great sick and dirty things for you all to do… but only so much time in day to get them written!

First, sorry that I’m not posting as much as I used to. I’m definitely feeling better, I think this might be Discord playing with my head. I talk to a lot of players there, and I think that throws my ‘should communicate with the people whose generosity lets me develop Harem’ switch to ‘completed’. But I forget that for every 1 person on Discord, there’s 10 patrons who never touch Discord. And for every 1 patron, there is 100 people who play the game and track the game on the forums/blog. I will be trying to do a better job of talking to everyone in the future!

 

So that out of the way, lets talk about c6m6. The big thing I’m working on with c6m6 is opening up Elan. This will be a big project, and probably take 2-3 months to complete. I’ve already created a dozen new maps, several new quests and the start of the plotline as Kathleen finds out what’s happened to her people during the 200 years while she was the thrall of a lich.

 

c6m6 will be more gameplay and exploration than most releases, as much of the work I’ve been doing has been laying down the groundwork for the next several months of content. What we hope to do for 6m6

-Move the player into Elan. The major story arc will run through Kathleen and I want to get 3-5 steps into it, bringing her up to date with the history and then focus on her reactions in the later content. Hopefully you’ll get to bang her at least once.

-Do Yvone’s patreon scene. I haven’t updated polls this month because I want to get caught up with the Patreon scenes and after the Elan vote, we’ll be there for a while.

-Move Rachel on a few more steps. I have a fairly solid plotline for her that’s been sitting around for a few months now.

-Get Fiona traveling with you again if you captured her in Eowen.

Harem c6m6 update!  Beta testing begins.

We started the early Beta testing for Harem c6m6 on Sunday and all my fantastic testers are digging through the code to find all the bugs.  Release should still be about the 15th.  And another piece of good news with it:  I think I figured out how I want to deal with Cecilia’s submission, but storywise and gameplay wise.  With how late that block broke there isn’t enough time to develop anything beyond the next step, but her (re)downfall is near!

And to address a question that came up on Discord today:  I want to move the release for each month’s content back to around the 5th instead of the 15th.  What I’m looking for is a month where I can generate enough content in a 3 week span to move the release date.  This month didn’t work because opening up a new zone is time consuming even without content, and Hiro had been having personal obligations keeping him away from writing.  Even t51 decided to move across the country which slowed down his usual production as well.

My own health is back, it sounds like their lives are getting back in order, and I’m working on bringing in a 4th writer so we can try to get back to that 2-300 pages/month content level.  When we get closer, I’ll be giving you more details on that.  But there is a lot more content to come!  I’m doing my best to make sure that July-October is just a dip in the schedule, not the new normal.

Welcome Altan to the team and 6m7 update!     

First, I want to welcome Altan to the Harem team!  He’s been a patron of the game for a  while and an active member on discord.  We’ve done quite a bit of talking about writing and character, and he impressed me with a few samples of his work.  Enough so I offered him some of my hard-earned Patreon money to write for the game, and he agreed.  He’s doing a cool sidequest series in Denai for 6m7.  And I’ll have a lot more to announce about his work in the future, but that’s for later!

 

With his work, and t51b’s work, I’m hoping to move the release of 6m7 up.  I’m not saying the 5th, but I’m hoping for the first half of the month at least.  What we’re hoping to get into 6m7 in November

Harem c6m8 released to Patrons, 6m7 out to the public!

Harem c6m8 is ready for all my wonderful patrons to enjoy! You’ve gained access to Senesca and learned a few of its mysteries. Time to report back to the Magister and get an odd gift in return. Your quest to find new women to add to your harem moves on. Hiro added content to the Eldari questline and I decided that series really needed some adult content, so quite a bit there. And lets not forget the Tenta, that mysterious group of warrior women. They all belong with you, but what do they know about you already? Talk to Rhea or Alena to find out! Additional content for Laura, Donnie/Tomas (optional), and some prep-work for The King’s Pleasure.

There’s also a large segment to bring Rhea up to speed on the light route. Teaching me that the most difficult choice to plan around is the choice not to do something. No new scenes are in it, but if you’re an absolute completionist you learn a bit more about Rhea and the Tenta during it.

Finally, I want to comment on Patron’s upcoming change to pledges and processing fees. I’m against it. It makes the smaller pledges considerably more expensive, and while Harem has many generous patrons, those $5 and less pledges make up the bulk of my income. Patreon, don’t mess with em!

Plans for Harem c6m9

-What I want to give you for the holidays more than anything else is Cecilia on her knees, so I’m going to try to work through that.  There might be a retcon switching Noemi’s and Samantha’s roles in it.

-We set up Selene training your women in the King’s Pleasure in 6m8, and I hope to add two trainings to it.  Sarah will introduce how the trainings work and Jessica will have a training also.

-The next few steps in Elan.  Caliga’s actions have convinced you he needs to be brought low on both routes, so lets get to it!

-If somehow I get all that done, I hope to start to do some more things with Rhea/Alena and the Tenta.  And have another session with Alison.  And another scene with Eleanor/Isabella.  And more with Terra.  So much to do, so little time!

-T51 wants to get another segment or two with Leona done, with Phoebe and Noemi trying to get her alone and possible an attempt from you as well.  He also is trying to get Fiona capturable in Corsix if you missed the chance in Eowen.

-Altan has a quest idea involving the Betans/Namhists with some sparkling loot at the end of it for you.

-Hiro’s been sick, so Edrin will likely cool his jets in that cell for another month.

Just a brief status update for you all!

 

 

 

 

First, I hope you all had a great holiday! Whether you spent it with family, friends, or the women of harem! I enjoyed it myself, and even was able to get a bit of writing done each morning.

 

We’re still mostly on schedule. I have the TKP trainings 80% done and the next section of Elan about 75% done. Cecilia is still proving to be a writer’s block, but I think I can get through it for this release. I might end up ret-conning the path for Cecilia’s breaking though. Terra will still do the convincing option, but I might have Samantha do the pleasure route and Noemi do the ‘not-pleasure’ route. Mostly because Samantha is far more familiar with a woman’s pleasure centers than Noemi is. Let me know if you have any thoughts on that!  With any luck we’ll be in testing by the end of the year. The code of TKP is entirely done, the Elan code will be complete by the end of the day. I just have to get Altan’s and T51’s writing and code it, but that’s reasonable to have done this week. If we can get into testing by the end of December, I’d be shooting for a release about the 10th.

 

I haven’t updated the polls for 6m9. Mostly because December is a holiday-shortened month and even getting what needs to go in is a stretch as it is. So there won’t be a patron-chosen scene in 6m9, but there is something I need your feedback on. I’ll be introducing a new fighting woman into the Harem in the next 2-3 releases and I can’t decide between two different looks for her. So I’m doing a flash poll. There’s an image and poll link up on the poll post, choose what look you want for her! Poll will only run until the end of the December.

Happy New Years!

First and foremost, I hope you all had a great new year’s celebration and wish you all the best in 2018!  Hopefully your resolutions last all the way into February! 

 

Harem c6m9’s beta test began today!  What’s it 6m9 for sure is the next step in the Elan section.  Claudia is worth a spot in your harem, but there’s an entire province for you to search.  Time to broaden your horizons while you work on Claudia.  Speaking of broadening horizons, it’s time to make your haremettes more… versatile.  The courtesan trainings in the King’s Pleasure are starting up.  t51 had to be called down to Mexico and Altan moved, so I’ve also added a new questline in Corsix.  But Mercalius is a busy man, you may have to meet him offsite…

 

On to other matters.  First, we’ll be finishing up Elan in the next 3ish releases.  Do you all want to spend a month or three revisiting our old friends Celee before going onto Greca.  Alice, Baylie, and Julianne were just teases during chapter 3&4, maybe we get a shot at a few of them, as well as taking care of a few unresolved storylines. Or do you want to move onto Greca and resume the chase for Melony, Betsy, Isabella and Eleanor?  Either way, we’ll be going to both places before the game is over!

 

Finally, I’m considering putting in a chapter break somewhere in the Denai/Elan/Corsix content.  I really should have done so earlier, we’re getting up to a silly number of minors in chapter 6.  So I’d like either call chapter 6 ended with Cecilia’s breaking (hopefully 6m9) or retcon back to when a new province opened up.  Let me know if you have any thoughts either way.

And Harem c7m3 is ready for release!  7m3 you ask?  Harem has always done its chapters geographically, and Elan is big enough to be its own chapter.  So Harem c6m6 becomes Harem c7m0 retroactively, making what would have been 6m9 into c7m3.  And no, I’m not going to go back and actually change the old version!

 

Enough bookkeeping, let’s talk about content!  Cecilia has proven to be much more complicated and a huge writers block for me, but I was able to get through the first half of it.  Even that swelled to over 40 pages and over 50 images of content.  She’ll be finished in 7m4!  I’ve also been teasing that you’ll be able to train your women in The King’s Pleasure and the first two trainings are now available.  And the location poll is making it clear that you all want to return to Celee so I’m starting the questline to get you there.  Talk to Praetor Mercalius in Corsix to get that started.

 

Finally, this release is a bit shorter than I was wanting it to be.  My own time was reduced because of the holidays and none of my part time writers found the time to write at all.  We’ve had some frank discussions about expectations and requirements, hopefully this situation doesn’t repeat.  But enough with the talking, its time for the link!

Sorry to do this everyone, but I’m going to have to push the next release into March.  Every time I’ve tried to get anything Harem done this week, be it coding, writing or even just getting on Discord it feels like running into a brick wall.  I think with the health issues, family issues, increasing management needs of the project and a long winter I’ve burned myself out a bit.  Not to mention the generally shitty divisiveness of the world just encouraging folks to put their head into a hole somewhere.

 

There will be a few changes.  I think I’ve streamlined my management role sufficiently where it won’t require more than a few hours a week to do.  I’m going to reduce presence a bit on discord.  While talking to you all is fantastic, having it on all the time leaves me feeling like I’m always at work and not destressing well.  So that’s going to be a Sunday/Tues/Thursday thing for Patrons.  I will be attempting to get into a regular habit of posting here and on the forums every Sunday/Thursday just to say hello if nothing else.

 

Thank you for everyone’s patience and continued support!  Even as difficult as the last 6 months have been for me, you all have been here for me this entire time.  If you are frustrated with the lack of a release this month, feel free to message me privately.

I hope you all enjoyed both the new content in c7m4/the ‘great quest’ 7m5 April Fools Edition for Patrons and 7m3 for the public.  There are a few things left in 7m4 that I want to adjust, a few quirks and balance issues, but not enough to release a 7m4.2.  Those changes will be made in 7m5.   

Let’s talk about what’s coming up!  We’ll be introducing a few new characters in c7m4, although some won’t be joining the Harem for quite some time.  I have the next two to three stages of the Elan storyline plotted out, and I think you’ll enjoy quite a bit of it.  Not only in terms of story content, but the Elani ball that Caliga has been talking about finally happens and you get your shot at Claudia.  Chinua also has new content, but you won’t get quite as far with her.  And ArdenW, one of my commissioners, is using his scene in game for some new Rachel content.

Hiro and Altan are working on the questline which will allow you back into Celee.  Altan is creating his first character that we’ll get introduced to in 7m5.  It might be a while before she joins the harem, but I hope to keep that storyline moving along fairly quickly.  Hiro has a quest in Corsixa done as well, and I’m hoping to finish up Edrin’s story this release.  T51b is working on some Leona content, but I’m not sure if that will make 7m5.

Taking a bit longer of a view of things:  I hope to put Harem c7m5 out to my patrons on the 20th and the public would get c7m4 then.  I should have the Elan set up for the climax in c7m6, which I’d like to release on June 10th.  c7m7 would be the climax of the Elan story and the reopening of Celee.  Celee would be chapter 8 and it is likely to be fairly short, focusing on Celee and the Tenta in Denai.  Then chapter 9 in Greca!

Just keep in mind the further ahead I predict the less confident I get in the predictions.  I’d like to move releases back to early in the month, but it will be a few steps to get there.  But lots of cool new content for you to enjoy and new women for you to experience!

I think I underestimated how much of a writer’s block I had trying to get through Cecilia’s and Terra’s scenes in 7m4.  Since those were finished, my production has shot up tremendously.  So give me a minute to give Ceci a good spanking for being difficult before moving onto what I’ve been creating in the

last week!

Alright, I feel much better now.  Harem c7m5 is going great so far.  I’ve already finished more in Chinua’s training than I was expecting to get done this month, and have her route to capture about 95% plotted out.  We’re finally going to get to Caliga’s ball, seeing a few old friends and meeting a few new people there as well.  His downfall is fully plotted.  Speaking of parties, Altan is also finishing up his segment for another fancy schmancy part to attend, and there’s a scene commissioned in there as well, so it should be fun.  Hiro has finished his Mercalius quest and most of Edrin, and I hope to get both of those into 7m5 as well.  Rachel and Angelica are getting some in-game commissioned work done.  Throw in some trainings and c7m5 is looking like a solid release even with its short dev cycle.

Hello everyone!  I’ve hope you enjoyed the new content released in Harem c7m5 (if you’re a patron) or 7m4.  And I hope you took the time to try t51’s VN dating sim, not really my own preference in adult games but to each their own!

 

 

 

Harem c7m6 is coming along well.  About half-way through the development cycle we have over a hundred pages written, about 100 images created and most of the base code already in place.  Exactly where I would hope to be about this time of the month.  Hopefully I’ll be able to start beta testing by the next week, again about when I would want to start beta testing for an early-month release.  Which feels very strange.  After all the hurdles and bumps Harem’s development has gone through in the last year, simply being on schedule is not the norm.  But a good thing!

So what’s coming in Harem c7m6?  More things to do and more ‘things’ to see of course!  The next step in Chinua’s training and you’ll be learning more about her, the history of the Elan and more about the fabled First Empire.  In exchange, she’ll learn more about her own people, particularly about their more relaxed sexual mores.  Which would be quite pleasant for you as well.  But it can’t all be fun and games, there was a noble murdered.  Not that you care, but his beautiful mistress disappeared at the same time, and that is of interest to you.  Terra is more powerful than ever before, maybe she can find the last elemental hearts that you need to craft the Solis diamond.  And hopefully get either hers or Noemi their turn in The King’s Pleasure, as well as a bit more practice for Donnie/Tomas and an expanded inventory for Rachel!

 

All that I’m hoping will make it into 7m6.  What’s further into the ‘maybe’ category would be another questline in Elan to further undermine Caliga involving Ralap, a noble you met at the party.  I’d love to get both Noemi and Terra’s training done this month, as well as maybe a bit of progress with either Fiona (not-Eowen path) and Edrin, but those are probably on the wrong side of the bubble already.

First, a huge thanks to Leonard for setting up the start for a Harem wiki.  It’s one of the things commonly requested and something I know very little about creating, so thanks to him for spending the time to create it!  As far as I understand how wiki’s work, their designed to let community members log on and add information that they think should be added.  With a hundred people making small updates, they can grow to be incredibly comprehensive.  Although this will mostly be a community thing, every page I write in the wiki is a page of content that I don’t write for Harem.  And I’d rather be making content for Harem then talking about the content already in Harem.

Speaking of making content, work on 7m6 is going well.  Been in beta for about a week now and have caught the vast majority of the bugs (I hope).  As the testers work, I’m finishing up the last of the written content and images.  Already have ~150 pages of content and images ready or already in the beta, hoping to get both near if not over 200 by the time we release.  I’m penciling in Friday the 8^th for the release, which should give you all the weekend to enjoy the new content.  And at the same time that 7m6 comes out to patrons, 7m5 will go public.
