E_Nigma Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 It's an old problem I've had but I've gotten tired of seeing it (or not seeing it for that matter) so far as I know it happens in Goodneighbor and at the Old North Church, no screens of the church but its largely the same thing, the glass is missing and you see through the building
Spyder Arachnid Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Going to assume you're using a Clean Windows/Repaired Windows mod, like the one by Gandalf or using the Rebuilt Prewar House Series with the Clean Windows option. While the glass may look clean (cause they made it transparent), it makes ALL glass transparent. So when you go to Goodneighbor, all those glass walls are going to be transparent. Only way to fix it is to remove those textures. Otherwise, it's just those few areas that are going to be like that (if you don't mind it and still want your clear windows).

Well, I thought it was the gandalf thing when it first happened, but it was indeed the houses. Now to figure out why every load says I'm missing a tiny square

Says I'm missing mods, yet no mods are listed and instead it shows random symbols. Hasn't caused any harm to my game though and all my mods still load just fine, so I haven't bothered with it.

It may be bethesda removing mods from their site and not informing you, I had at least two mods vanish from in game mod manager and had to find the nexus page to figure out which files to delete

That random symbol "missing resource" thing is being caused by the mod Place Everywhere. Whenever you use the place everywhere mode, it triggers that bug. Prior to version 1.15.5, it happened every time and I could reproduce it 100% of the time. As a matter of fact, the missing mod is actually whatever you have in load order slot 42, at least that's the way it is in my game. With the latest version however (ver 1.15.5), the bug seems to trigger whenever I use the place everywhere mode for a prolonged period of time. If I use it once or twice, save, exit to desktop, and then reload, the bug doesn't trigger. However, when it DOES, it still kills whatever is in load slot 42 so I just keep a bullshit outfit there to sacrifice. BTW I tested this extensively, with the F8 toggle enabled and then disabled. Using the other features of the mod don't trigger the bug, just the place everywhere mode.
Spyder Arachnid Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Hmm that's odd. In Slot 42 I have See-Through Combat Scopes and it works just fine still. All my guns are modded with the combat scopes and have access to all the modifications in the workbench for it as well. Oddly enough, all my mods still seem to be fine. Haven't had any issues with missing mods. Just checked in game and everything loaded just fine out of all my mods. Even with that little error at the beginning. Then again, could just be different things for different people since not all of us are using the same mod setup. Was just reading the comments on the Place Everywhere and yeah it does seem to be causing this issue. Weird, but okay. Eh, well my stuff still works fine regardless, but we'll see how it goes any ways. We all know using mods right now is all "testing" any ways (since Fallout 4 is still being actively updated), so we'll see what happens. If something breaks, at least we'll know. Thanks for the heads up!
