Strange issue, clicking sound followed by weirdness

Hoping someone knows the cause of a very strange problem that has been intermittently showing up in my files for several weeks now. Randomly, my game will make a loud clicking sound, and turn gray for a split second. More often happens during some kind of script event though, like initiating sex through SL. Afterward, my character's visuals start behaving extremely weirdly. HDT starts flipping out on her, with her hair and bouncy bits seemingly trailing behind her movements frame by frame, like they're being dragged from place to place. Often, her legs will disappear, leaving her as a floating torso, though occasionally it's only her feet. Light will stop working on her properly, keeping her shrouded in darkness no matter what light sources are nearby, and also causing her eyes to disappear due to the existing bugs in the game with viewing meshes with alpha channels. Light also stops working properly on the outside world, with massive ugly blotchy shadows all over the world that only fade as I get closer, and are not created by any nearby meshes. It has also been known to make the game's sounds cut out. It sometimes fixes itself after going through a load door, but not always, and the blotchy exterior shadows can persist even when my character goes back to normal.

 

Sounds like some kind of horror story more than a bug, but this is some seriously bizarre glitchiness and I can't find anything similar happening to anyone else.

- Replaced Face Light with Facelight Plus

- Updated Legacy of the Dragonborn to 15.4

- Updated ZAP 6.1 + 6.1.1 patch

- Updated Devious Devices Expansion to 1.2.3

- Updated FNIS to 6.2

- Updated XPMSE to 3.82

- Updated Riding Styles to 2.4

- Updated Paradise Halls SL Extension to 0.1h RC0.6_fix

- Started using Tania Race mod again, but no such issues occurred the last time I had it in

- A custom HDT KS Hair using two hairs mashed together

- HDT Alpha Fix spell (Listed these two because the issue makes HDT act weird, so maybe this is related? Doesn't seem likely in the case of the spell, though.)

So... nobody else has ever heard of something like this, either? I came to notice it only happens when I'm nude, for some reason. I can run around with jiggly HDT armor all day just fine, but the world itself seems to unravel at the sight of my character's bare breasts somehow.
