MistressAriannaValentine Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 well i have a bunch of mods installed and last night everything was going fine except my prostitution mod stopped working it would say that a client is approaching but they would never come and when i tried to stop the job and start it back up it would say i accepted it but i talked to the guy again and it kept giving me the option to start it yet when i left the town i was in it said the innkeeper put a bounty on my head so i went ahead and went to the next town then skyrim crashed completely and now it wont even start a new game or anything. And i ran FNIS generator it says everything is fine. Here are the mods i have installed. the reason in the screenshot there appears to be 2 of the same mod is because i had to scroll down and screentshot again but there is only one of each mod installed
MistressAriannaValentine Posted May 9, 2016 Author Posted May 9, 2016 oh and XPMSE is installed but for some reason dont show up on that list
Tefajo Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Skyrim crashing on startup is ALWAYS a missing master (there is a mod in your load order that requieres another mod but its missing) There are plenty of ways to know wich mod is causing this, i belive that sorting your load order with loot will do it. Also using TES5Edit You should really give a thought into moving to Mod Organizer, wich would tell about missing masters aswell.
Cock Sucker Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Don't see the unofficial legacy patch there, it does help with a lot. Have you tried loot sorting? Plus you can't have that many mods running when starting a new game, it's been posted before a zillion times that it causes issues. New games should only be started with dlc, patches, skeleton meshes, your chosen body, JUST the basics THEN once you get out of the cave slowly readd mods a few at a time, save, repeat

"ALWAYS" is not correct: I for one needed half a year to figure out I can't launch my game because .......(x86)/Razer/InGameEngine folder contents cause the "multiboot ENB nightmare" (enbhost.exe launching "infinite" instances) -- trust me, nothing is worse than a 100% stock vanilla NO-content-mods game crashing on start. I deleted that folder last week together with /GameScannerService and voila it started again! For some reason though SweetFX still causes crash, I must have forgotten some tiny RAM 'jacker somewhere. Missing masterfiles in a modded game only matter when the game runs with with stock vanilla setup.

I replied "always" because if i said "could" he could start looking somewhere else first when its 99.99% sure its a missing master specially in a game so modded like his
