I normally install mod organiser into the same folder where Skyrim is installed. Helps me when looking for things. All mods that you install have requirements and instructions to install them. You should start there. Things like texture replacer mods are easy to install and you shouldn't have many issues. Once you start installing other kinds of mods, if you are new to modding, install them one by one and check whether it works, have a little run around and see if all works good. If all is ok, move onto the next mod. It is a time consuming process but if something goes wrong, you will have a better understanding of what mod is possibly causing it. I personally also research heavily with google any new mod I decide to install to check for possible bugs and compatibility issues etc. Once you start modding more, you will start to have more of an idea what each mod does and will therefore know what mods are likely to conflict and which will not. If you take too many shortcuts and just install a bunch of mods, you are highly likely to crash or have stuff not working right as you do not understand fully how each mod works. For now, you have a long journey ahead of you my friend. here is one of tutorials I used back in the day to get started. I would advise to watch the whole series. He goes into great detail on pretty much all the basics and it will help you immensely in gaining a grasp on how to mod Skyrim. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYY1OV2_ZTk
