game.exe always crashes after a few minutes

Got some issues with the latest version of DOA5LR 1.06 (from Steam).

The Steam version is running fine. I have no issues.

But if I use the 3DM files to use own DLCs, the game.exe crashes after a few minutes. Sometimes instantly at the beginning of the first fight, sometimes after a while but always at the beginning of a fight (when the video sequence starts).

 

This is not DLC related. The game does crash too if no single DLC is installed.

 

It is enough to copy "game.exe, startup_setting.exe, steam_api.dll+ini file" in the original Steam folder to make the game extremely unstable.

I had this issue with no older version. Any ideas or the same issue?

 

I'm using AMD graphics and the latest driver (tested 2 versions).

 

I used steam to verificate the game files and no problems where detected (before 3DM).

Reinstall. 

 

If official steam then add the 3DM files one by one

 

Make sure you have a back up of the unmodded version.

Yes, I did.
I deleted it from Steam, then cleaned the folder and downloaded in the emty folder. That worked fine.
After the 3DM Files -> crash. Error in game.exe...

 

Maybe some Win10 protection??? But the error message does not tell me something like "access denied".

You did not mention the Windows 10 part.  Still unstable. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate.

 

I'm using the game directly from my steam folder + the 3DM files. All work normally.

I am using win 10, no problems. I have the steam version untouched, one copy only with oficial dlcs and another copy with all the mods, autolink and this. No problem at all. Make sure you did all the steps properly.

I had trouble with the SSD drive and this causes the crashes.

But is there any maximum number of custom costume slots?
I mean I know which slots are free and checked it with lrs and DLC tool again and again and I cannot find any issue.
But when I use more than 310 own costumes the game crashes.
It is not relevant which costumes I remove as long as the summary is not more than 310.

My own DLCs contains 333 costumes.
Well, it is not the biggest problem to remove 23. But there are a lot more of free slots and I want to understand the reason.
