Alcyone Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I need some help getting FNIS to work with SexLab. I followed every step in the installation guide until this point, running the FNIS generator: "5. You should see a line that says "Reading SexLab ..." if not you've done something wrong." FNIS obviously can't find the SexLab files, it just doesn't show up in the generator. But what can I do? I use Mod Organizer. I checked the SexLab folder in the Mod Organizer directory and all the files are there! I have also read the troubleshhoting guide, but it just says that this means that the SexLab files are in the wrong place. But they are exactly in the places indicated in that same guide! Please help! Just let me know if you need further information!
Alcyone Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 Thanks for answering that quickly! When I run it from MO, I get the error message that the 0_master.hkx is missing! FNIS Behavior V6.2 28.04.2016 15:42:07Skyrim: 1.9.32.0 - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\ (Steam)Skeleton(hkx) female: XPMS2HDT (115 bones) male: XPMS2HDT (115 bones)ERROR(53): Die Datei "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\data\meshes\actors\character\behaviors\0_master.hkx" konnte nicht gefunden werden.
Guest Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Check if the file is actually available from the MO virtual directory system (it may not be in the data folder, that is normal.)
Alcyone Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 The file is there and now FNIS generator indeed reads the SexLab files and reports no errors! After I tried again, MO created files in the "overwrite" folder which I hadn't noticed. I now created a mod of them and activated that. (I tried many times before, I REALLY don't know why 10 times it doesn't work and the 11th works!) However, SexLab still doesn't seem to work. The MCM menu shows a questionmark at "FNIS SexLab framework idles"! I clicked the install button on the right, and it says "working" but doesn't seem to do anything for minutes!
Guest Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Don't worry about the question mark in SexLab. Click on the install button, and close the MCM, wait a few minutes (how long depends on the power of your rig.) Then after a while re-open the MCM and check that the full menu is available. It is is not after 5 minutes, please post your papyrus.log.
Alcyone Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 Ah, thank you so much! It really worked, all I had to do was to close the MCM and wait! Thanks again!
Alcyone Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Well, no - it still doesn't work! Yes, after closing the MCM, I get messages on screen that SexLab is installing a lot of stuff and then it reports that it's now ready. But I still don't have animations!
Guest Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Please post, as attachment, the papyrus.log you get when you try the SexLab installation. Thanks.
Alcyone Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Where can I find that? I have a "PapyrusUtilDev.log" in the main Skyrim folder. Is that right? PapyrusUtilDev.log
Guest Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Nope. Follow the instructions in Best way to report a bug. Then you should be able to post your papyrus.log
Alcyone Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Here's also the GenerateFNIS log file: GenerateFNIS_LogFile.txt
Alcyone Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 ?? It did start! I ran it right now! But it did not create a new log file, the log file was generated 2 and a half hour ago.
Guest Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 I can see that there is a warning. But the actual warning is not in your screenshot (probably it is at the top of the window.) Now, how do you install mods? (manually, NMM, Mod Organizer, etc.) And how do you run FNIS?
Alcyone Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 No, that is the whole FNIS window on the screenshot. I've seen that there's one warning, but don't know where to find further information about that. I install via Mod Organizer, following exactly the explanations from Gopher's videos. I run FNIS from the shortcut directly inside the MO.
Guest Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 It seems the good way to run it. Now, when you generate FNIS, you can see that there is a scroll bar on the window to the right. Just scroll up and you will be able to see the warning description.
Alcyone Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Ah, that is what you meant! Sorry, I didn't notice that! (It's 5.21 am here and I'm now trying to solve this about 48 hour with just 4 hours of sleep in between . ) Thats what it says: Wait, I will immediately test if that really chances something if I start the game once directly from Steam, with no mods loaded!
Guest Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 OK. You use MO, correct? And probably you installed FNIS directly inside MO, correct? If yes, then use my trick. 1) Uninstall it from MO. 2) Download it again 3) Install it directly in the Skyrim\Data folder 4) Create the shortcut to GenerateFNISForUsers inside MO 5) Try to generate.
Alcyone Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Now I just tried to run the game once with no mods directly from Steam. The warning in the FNIS window is really gone now, but I STILL don't have SexLab animations. O.k., I will try what you said. I wanted to keep my Data folder clean and install only via MO, but seems that there's no other solution. Should FNIS generator get admin rights before creating the MO shortcut?
Alcyone Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Halleluja! After 2 days of puzzling, now it works! It's not quite what I wanted (running it in MO only), but at least it works, now that I gave in and installed it manually in the data folder! I'm really knocking on wood here, hoping that it will keep going that way and I won't have to mark this thread as unsolved again! Thank you so much for your precious help!
