Darkflip95 Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Hey there, I need a bit of help working out some big issues I'm having putting custom clothing and hair into Fallout 4 as standalone items. I decided that I wanted to port Tracer's outfit and hair first to test things out, and I'm running into a few issues I'd like a hand with. A tester who I asked to do the in-game testing for me first ran into issues such as the hair not showing and not being able to spawn the items. I'll just quote the direct message here. But since that message I fixed a few things in Nifskope related to the file paths and some missing records and entires I was supposed to include, and made some progress. The mod is in a broken state, the hair isnt there, just bald. Also the outfit cannot be found by typing "tracer" in 'help "tracer" 0' in the console. Perhaps the materials, meshes, and textures are in the wrong folders? I did notice the the textures are in the a "clothing" folder when all other clothing mods i have use the "clothes" folder, not sure if that is important since I havn't had a chance to spawn in the outfit and other items. Lastly, i noticed the meshes for the hair are is in meshes/acters/character/characterassets/hair/ but does not use the female folder for female hairs like meshes/acters/character/characterassets/hair/female. Im thinking that is the reason the hair is broken. None the less, I can't access the outfit without the names of the items and the hair being non existant. After making some fixes, I had made some progress, but the outfit was still not working properly and had major issues going on. Here's the second message with a image attached. The Outfit is broken beyond believe. the outfit shows nothing really, can't really discribe it so i took a snapshot of it (NSFW) This is what it looks like with ALL pieces equipped (hair was not selected) - http://imgur.com/CmbpF5G 2 more pictures here (these show the hair on) - http://imgur.com/a/M2qes I'm not that great with using F04Edit, but to my knowledge I've created the necessary armoraddon and item entries for the armor. I've made sure that all of my items are pointed to the correct meshes and the correct textures and that these meshes and textures are in the right folders. I remember that there were a few warning in Outfit Studio that some vertices were unweighted, but to my knowledge I weightpainted them as best as I could. My personal theory is that I simply didn't check the correct bodyslots for some of the items, and there's also a few issues with the weights I need to work out. I'd really love to get some help on this, because I've got a ton of outfits, armor and power armor planned for the game. Pinups, outfits from Legend of Korra, RWBY, and clothing from the older games, you name it.
Darkflip95 Posted May 1, 2016 Author Posted May 1, 2016 Hey there, me again. Things are working better with the Creation Kit. I managed to get all of my object meshes working correctly in Nifskope and the Creation Kit itself... but unfortunately they won't show up in-game when equipped. They're invisible. Can I get some help figuring this out please?
