Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Just a thought, to make things easier, especially for new users: Everyone start using a similar type of readme format for their mod's threads, specifically listing/linking required mods, how to install/use, as well as better descriptions of what the mod does. Some mods allready do some or all of this, some don't, and frankly that's one area where the nexus usually beats LL, in that the details given are (for the better mods there at least), well, more detailed. Also, prehaps seperate FO3/FO:NV into seperate boards, to make differentiating between mods for the two much easier, since as it stands they're all in the same boards.
Ark of Truth Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I agree with FO3 and FO:NV need to be seperate. However as for as for the readme part instructions are in the first post, in my experience most people are just to lazy to read the post properly or don't pay attention to the readme located in the mod folder.
Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted May 14, 2012 Author Posted May 14, 2012 Well I was thinking put the basic information in the thread, which as I said some allready do.

[/quote'] Aren't you referring to nubes who aren't too lazy to read everything that might be included and need reading but are actually just nubes who don't always know what is necessary to read or that there might actually be issues if they don't read details? Calling them lazy when they are making their lives more difficult and using up more time trying to ask questions later, doesn't really explain their behavior since the easiest thing to do is to read what is important to read. Yeah, I'm echoing a point made by another member of whom I can't currently remember, but I think it applies as to why the OP's suggestion could make it less likely that new users fumble less often, making life easier for all.
Ark of Truth Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Bit off I suppose. Some do just ask how to install things without reading the readme cause they didn't look there first.
