Blocky Face / Noses on All my followers after long Hiatus (was fine before)

Hi guys,

 

I took a few month break from skyrim and modding for awhile, and now that I've come back I've run into some problems. Everything was working fine before, but as I came back, I noticed followers and character mods don't look the same as they did before. Stuff like Bijin wives, the temptress followers, dames of skyrim, etc all have weird blocky faces and noses. (Note I had the All-In-One-HDT-Pussy mod installed before my hiatus and everything was working fine and dandy even then). Anyways I tried reinstalling all the followers and the aforementioned HDT mod (since it does stuff to the followers), tried No More Blocky Faces, and messing around with the load order (followers at the bottom w/ the ones I want replacing the other ones near the end, although I already had it set up like that to begin with), and I just can't get it back to the way it was. Even my first mod profile playthrough that I hadn't touched in a long time mod wise is messed up in the same way (face and nose bug). 

 

Anyways, that's my current situation, hopefully someone can shed some light on it, because I really liked the set up I had, and I can't really find any topic like this on the web.

Most often, the cause of blocky faces is the normal map or femalehead_msn.dds. Try installing a texture replacer like Fair Skin, SG, Mature Skin, etc.. Custom followers may not use the default textures and come with their own; in which case, you'll have to replace them manually.

Hmm...what's the reason for the default texture they came with creating blocky faces? They were fine beforehand, just wondering how this happened.  Anyways I'll give it a shot, do I just find the normal map in the skin texture mod's folder? And thanks for your help.

Alright, so I tried it and while I think something changed, I'm super confused and don't think I did it right. I'll try to describe my situation better with as many details as possible.

 

So I have http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/2476-all-in-one-hdt-animated-pussy/ installed, which does some stuff to the custom followers (I don't know what exactly, but I  believe it should make it so that the settings I select on the mod, ie. fair skin textures, hdt, etc. are applied to them). Now in the texture folder of the aforementioned All-in-one mod, there is an actors folder, containing folders with stuff like femalebody_1.dds, femalebody_1_msn.dds, femalebody_1_s.dds for my different Bijin follower mods (but no femalehead_msn.dds), a separate folder like this for the temptresses exists too, as well as several folders for the different female races containing femalehead_msn.dds, and a female folder containing all of types of previously mentioned file types, and more. All these texture folders are in the same actors > characters folder, sans temptress, which has its own (but also no folder containing femalehead_msn.dds). 

 

Anyways, outside of this All-in-One mod folder exist the custom follower folders themselves (ie. temptress, and bijin), they contain their own files for femalehead_msn.dds, etc. I'm not sure if this was altered by the All-in-One mod, but yeah.

 

This is not what I tried just now, but I think you are suggesting that I copy these femalehead_msn.dds from the original follower mods themselves into the All-in-One folder (since they are different)? I have the All-in-One mod lower in my left pane priority thing in MO, since it the HDT-vagina and stuff didn't work otherwise (when it was working). 

 

Sorry for the huge text and long explanation, I wanted to be as thorough as possible. Thanks in advance any help is appreciated.

 

Edit: Oh yeah, the bug in question is that my custom followers have really wide chins/faces, with weird (almost orcish noses) that weren't there previously, and came about after my break from the game (despite no new mods, or changes to load order (unless it can change on its own?)). Just thought I should clarify again in case this face bug is not the blocky face bug I thought it was.

 

Edit 2: The bug also seems to mess with the character's facial expressions during sexlab scenes (if that helps to pinpoint the bug)

is the blocky textures constant and under all lighting conditions?

for eg is it only when indoors or does it occur outside as well.

 

can you post a screenshot?

Yeah they happen under all light conditions...it mostly just looks like they have really wide chins/jaws. I'll get sround to posting screenshots when iI have the time.
