Lisiev Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Mods that use FNIS, don't play animations. I'm trying to understand what I did wrong, but I have no conqlusion. So, can you help me with my trouble? P.S I installed all mods right, 'coz I can see them in menu of mods in the game. Only animations don't play. I think, maybe it's a wrong sequence of mods? P.S.S Sorry my English (There is a shot of my MO (Mod Organaizer) and mods)
Guest Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Be sure in Skyrim Data directory you have this: tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISforUsers.exe Then just run this program, and in case it does not work, just post the resulting log file (in the window that appears when you run GenerateFNISforUsers.exe) K.R.,

On the first shoot I started that program from directory in \Steam\.../Skyrim\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISforUsers.exe On the second shoot I started that program in MO
Guest Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 If you use MO, then you have to run it from MO. From the first screenshot looks like you are using a vanilla Skeleton, be sure to add a valid extended skeleton like XPMSE.

About FNIS.I'm trying to explain to you my problem. In MO I use the FNIS that installed in the folder with Skyrim (I mean Steamapps\Skyrim\Data\Tools\Fnis.exe). Is it right? On the picture all animations that FNIS compiled P.S Oh, and in the problems window there is some errors, but I don't know with what (Can you help?)
WraithSlayer Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 What does XPMSE means? I install only UNP BASE for that vanilla. XPMSE is a skeleton mod, skeletons are what the game uses to animate actors. You need to install XPMSE, or most animation mods won't be able to animate characters as intended.

WraithSlayer Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Don't forget to run FNIS again after installing the skeleton.
Lisiev Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 Don't forget to run FNIS again after installing the skeleton. Thanks. But other question. Should I run FNIS every time when I install new mod and make new patch/synchronize with oldest patch or I can just run it after installing all my mods?
WraithSlayer Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 FNIS rebuilds everything from scratch every time it runs, so it only needs to be run once every time you make changes, regardless of how many mods you've added/removed in one sitting.
