Hi, I'm trying to set it up so each follower has a unique body mesh, and I'm not quite sure how to set that up. Any tips?

Hi, mod author here

The mesh folders for the followers can be found in the folder Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\meshes\actors\character. The folders you're looking for are CaitBody, CurieBody, DanseBody, DeaconBody, GarveyBody, HancockBody, MacCreadyBody, PiperBody and X688Body. For the female followers (Cait, Curie and Piper), you'll need to replace FemaleBody.nif and FemaleHands.nif.

Once you've set your body meshes, you'll need compatible body textures (if you used a CBBE body, you'll need a CBBE body texture). The texture folders can be found in the folder Fallout 4\Data\textures\actors\character. For Cait, you'll need to replace the textures inside the folder CaitBody.

I hope that's clear enough to get you started. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Apparantly it's not all the info I needed...I'm using the mod "Loving Curie", though it doesn't add anything other than a face re-do without textures or anything, and I made a new .nif with bodyslide and placed it in the correct folder path, but when i loaded she still had the same body as all other females in the game. What am I missing? do I have to go into the loving curie .esp and re-direct to the new files or something?

I've had a few comments about compatibility with other mods. Any mod which changes the followers in some way will clash with this mod.

He goes on to explain how you can make a compatibility patch. You might want to take a peek.

On that note of what Mercenary666 said, check the comments section. There is a post there by Hpr222 that gives you a detailed step by step guide on how to make any companion mod compatible. It is seriously easy, as I have no experience with FO4Edit and was able to do it.

What happens is a mod like 'Loving Curie' will have an esp which modifies the npc entry for Curie. Unique Followers will also modify the npc entry for Curie. The esp's affect completely different entries, and are entirely compatible, but the way the engine and load order works, one esp will overwrite the other for the entry on Curie. So you can only have one or the other, unless you make a merged patch. Eventually we will have tools to do this much easier, but for now, it's best to do it manually in FO4 edit.

Doh! I should've caught that. Thanks for the info guys, the process continues but I think I can figure it out.

By chance, do I need to start a new game for "new" bodies to show? I went into FO4Edit and moved all the entries from the appearance mods into the Unique Followers .esp, but Curie still has the same body.

Did you ever get this issue resolved, because I'm have this same issue today and can't figure out why the basic body is showing up on Curie, it's fucking driving me nuts.....
