How to edit followers with Creation Kit?

Hi, is there a good guide on how to edit my followers using Creation Kit?

 

I was to change the hair of one of my followers.

I use Mod Organizer.

 

Also, what the does the "Set Active" button in Creation Kit do while selecting the data files?

The Active mod is the one that receives the changes made when you press Save in the Creation Kit.

Would have any idea on why the KS Hairdos I choose in Creation Kit are invisible on the character's head when selected?

Do I have to choose them in another way?
