Unable to import .kf animations to 3ds max

I keep getting the error "improper file format".

 

I'm using a base animation (1hm_1stp_run.hkx > 1hm_1stp_run.kf) from the game, and the skeleton I am using is xpmse 3.13.

 

Why is this error happening? What am I doing wrong? I have also tried importing giant animations but those worked fine ):
