JOESAN21 Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Hi all! I was wondering which graphic mods you all are using for Skyrim. I have had great luck following the advice here for oblivion, so I wanted to see what everyone's overall take was on Skyrim. There seems to have been a lot of discussion on mods, some people love some, others not so much. This community always has the best ideas (IMO) so I was curious what you all are using. Thanks a ton
tnguye3 Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 There are texture mods which make the game's overall look sharper: HD 2k textures Flora overhaul Pure Waters Enhanced Distant Terrain Then there are the shaders and ENBs which just overall transform the game's appearance: I myself use CinemaScope ENB. However I recommend the SharpShooter Extreme Graphics Vision ENB if your rig is strong enough to run it along with all those texture mods. Hope this helped!
Jaquiline Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 I love Sharpshooters ENB, 'cause of the high dof effect, but it's been giving me some troubles. I still haven't found a ENB who hasn't been giving me problems, or is worth keeping anyways. So I just use FXAA Post Process Injector. It just alters the colors a bit, until I can find a ENB worth keeping. Try Skyrim Enhanced Shaders, it has a lot of options and is quite confusing, but worth to take a look at. Here is a couple of pictures taken with this Sharpshooters ENB, totally unedited.
Remy Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I can say, i tried out nearly all of the enb mods out there, but so far nothing for me has beaten stakado enb..plain and simply its awesome. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=12180 Im using it together with more dynamic shadows. I have been using also jasmin enb for a while but after i found stakado i liked it more. Some screens here: http://imgur.com/a/xApAD http://imgur.com/1rlo1

So far, Stakado has the best impression on my eyes
Kalell Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Like Jaquiline I use FXAA. I've tried several ENB's but all of them had more of a performance hit than I would have liked. I'm already pushing the game to the limits of what my PC can do (Ultra setting, ugrids at 9, and a whole lot of other ini tweaks), and any more drops it into unplayable territory for me. With FXAA I turn off everything except for the sharpening options. That allows me to keep the original look of the game while making it look more crisp with almost no performance loss. There are also a lot of visual options with FXAA, but I never found a combination I liked.

[/quote'] I wish ugrids would work for me...everytime i put them higher then the default settings, my game becomes a ctd fest :/ Also stakado enb just got updated to 4.0 beta...going to check it out.
Crowzer Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Somes screen before i use CinemaScope ENB. It was with Jasmin 4.4 Real. Mods : - HD 2K textures 1K version - Dynamic Snow - Distant Terrain - Glorious Grass
Guest Vendayn Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 I personally like Stakado Realistic, the best. Especially the new version (though for me, the new version as this...weird effect on grass. Especially noticed while moving. Just grass is effected...or is the proper word to use, affected?) In any case...I really like the Stakado ENB. Not much performance loss, either. (edit) There is also this, that may be worth checking out...if it isn't known about already http://enbdev.com/enbseries/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=410&sid=7ff55da59365739cfa9e33dcfebb0503&start=30 He has modified the jasmin version of enb. Has some of his own tweaks, too. (edit) This one looks good too, one of my friends found it. You'll have to sign up to download the attachment, but you can still see the screenshots. http://www.overclock.net/t/1165090/your-best-skyrim-awesome-pictures/4490#post_17130796 Looks more vibrant than some others, but still aims for a realistic approach. Kind of a mix of the two. I haven't tested it out fully, but from what I saw, it looks rather nice. The attachment is a bit further in the page I linked, and the screenshots should be easy enough to find. Creator is Modinn.
JOESAN21 Posted May 12, 2012 Author Posted May 12, 2012 Awesome!! Thanks all. I cant wait to try out the suggestions.
