ntwackme48 Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 So I am using several NPC Appearance mods such as NPC 85 and the Bijin series. Â My NPCs so far look great. Â So what I am trying to do is add a clothing mod to the NPC 85 and to the various Bijin mods so that I can change the clothing of the NPCs also. Â Everything works great except that when I add the NPC clothing mod (I've tried various ones with the same result) as a master to NPC 85 or Bijin in Tes5edit, various NPCs start to get grey faces or vanilla appearances. Â Â I can change their outfit just fine but somehow it looks like when I add any NPC clothing mod as a master, various values are also being changed by Tes5edit when I save the esp. Â Â I have the NPC 85 and Bijin mods at the mod of the load order, so there shouldn't be anything overriding any values. Â I even checked the various clothing mods just to make sure there were no NPC values there either. Â Â Â Any advice on what I am doing wrong. Â It seems hit and miss with some NPCs being affected and others not. Â As an alternative solution, any guides on how I can manually add the clothing outfits to the NPC mods without making the clothing mod a master (aka, have the outfits embedded into the NPC mod itself). Â Â Â Thanks
RW311 Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 I forgot how I went about getting multiple npc mods and armors to work like that, it's been a long time ago that I was working on the same thing. What I ended up doing last time I rebuilt an npc overhaul was just using tesedit to merge the armors I wanted to use into npc mod, or into the master file for it if you have several separate esps. Then I just had to create the outfits in one master so they were quick and easy to drop into the various esps. There is a tesedit script on nexus http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37981/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D37981%26preview%3D&pUp=1
ntwackme48 Posted March 28, 2016 Author Posted March 28, 2016 Thanks rpw0311. I've used the merged script to combined clothing in the past so I will give that a try and will report back.
