Blade0Artist Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Okay, I'm relatively new to modding my Skyrim. I've figured most stuff out by just poking around the mods' pages and such. So I've gotten my female character up and running, but her figure that I made with racemenu gets covered up by the replaced model that comes on whatever armor I would wear, right? So I go poking around and find "bodyslider and outfitstudio", the mod for modifying the meshes of armor and clothing. I would like to know if there is a way (simply please, I don't know what all the different jargon or tasks are) to import the mesh or the sliders from my character's racemenu preset (I saved her figure as a preset in the racemenu).
grifterrik Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 I don't believe there is a way to import it into outfit studio from a racemenu export. But what you can do is write down the numbers on the sliders in racemenu, then go to outfit studio and recreate the same settings there. Then you save that body configuration as a preset (Save Preset or Save Preset as) and you can apply it to all the armors you have. Be sure to select RaceMenu Morphs when building the armor in bodyslide, so that you can adjust it in game with racemenu. Also, the armors you are using need to support bodyslide, or you will need to adapt them to Bodyslide yourself. Something I didn't realize at first when using Bodyslide is that you can open the preview, and then changes you make will be reflected in real time in the preview window. So you don't have to keep closing and reopening the preview window to make changes.
dTd Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 If the armor/clothes have the same bones you're editing in racemenu then yes the your edits will show when clothed. An example would be you edited a large belly perhaps for pregnancy but the armor/clothes you're wearing has no belly bone then your edits would not show.
