crudo Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I've been using OBIS (Organized Bandits in Skyrim) for a long time but I've read here that it can create problems with scripted mods, adult mods and in general can lead to instability. Personally I haven't noticed any issues in my time running the mod that I can directly relate to OBIS. That being said I'm always looking for ways to make my game more stable even though it's pretty solid right now. Two questions then. The first, what is it about OBIS that can create problems, what harm does it cause? And the second, what is a good alternative mod that makes the bandits tougher and more interesting? Thanks!
street2 Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I guess its because OBIS adds enemy Spawns. ERSO has some modules that add more enemies (Bandits too) as well as an Enemy AI overhaul. The full package changes quite a lot, almost feels like another game, and is quite light if you dont install the scripted mods (I also wouldnt change timescale). Which Mods contains Scripts and which dont is mentioned during installation.
crudo Posted March 1, 2016 Author Posted March 1, 2016 Thanks, street2. That is an interesting alternative.
Joe99999 Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 I use the v 1.53 version of OBIS i.e. the non-rubbish one. That version has never given any problems and is super light script wise. The newer ones are too heavy on the system.
crudo Posted March 3, 2016 Author Posted March 3, 2016 Thanks Joe9's! I'll take a look and see if it is still available.
