On the topic of CTDs and reducing the FNIS animation count

TL;DR at the end.

I was nearing a stopping point on my efforts to whip up a Skyrim world I could dive into, but quickly had to backtrack because my mod list was, altogether, causing a CTD on two out of three attempts to load a save (at the very beginning of the game).  In fact this was almost as reliable as clockwork: Two crashes, one success, repeat.  So I started from scratch, adding a few mods at a time, taking care of every conflict and every Papyrus error I could.  Right now the main contributor to my log is USLEEP which insists on searching for USKP with every game load.

I finally got to the likely culprit when I started making use of FNIS and the various mods which rely upon it, well before even a fourth of my intended mods had been added back in.  A little hunting around, in combination with SKSE's debug log, essentially told me that the issue is too many animations.  Not more than FNIS can handle, but apparently more than enough to cause Skyrim to exhibit precisely the kind of CTD-on-load behavior I'm experiencing, due to its poor ram handling which no clever ram-oriented mods have yet managed to fully circumvent.  (This pastebin, while not from me, shows the same exception address I keep getting.)

I use SexLab 1.61b, creatures, ZaZ, PCEA, and an extremely pared-down iteration of SLAL FunnyBiz.  I definitely don't need everything from all of those (case in point: I already cherry-picked FunnyBiz), but I do need at least some from each.  PCEA has already been reduced as much as I can stomach.  ZaZ has a lot of miscellaneous animations but there's no telling what a given mod truly wants from it, and same deal with creatures.

That leaves SexLab.  Which is just as well, since at 1525 animations, it singlehandedly provides more than half the total number I think I can get away with.  I already know from experience that there are some animations I can live without.

TL;DR: What I'm wondering is whether or not there is a straightforward way of pruning SexLab.  Simply hiding animations from FNIS sometimes doesn't reduce the animation total (which I find inexplicable), and regardless, SexLab still believes they're there of course.

If editing and compiling the script myself is the only way, then so be it.  But given that excessive animations is a reliable source of CTDs, I have to imagine that a more convenient method has been devised.

Side note: Has anyone discovered a HDT solution which does not engender teleportation death when SexLab repositions the PC?  I cannot use SL with HDT at this time.

I don't want to be "That guy" but I have all that installed and my skyrim couldn't be more stable. I haven't experienced a ctd for weeks and I play for hours everyday. I will get a crash if I play for too long and my system runs out of ram so if I make sure my sessions are really not more than an hour at a time then no crashing at all. I wish I had something more constructive to say and could be more helpful but I seriously doubt it's the animation count.

Oh, I hear you.  In the past, I've had more installed myself.  If things like this were easy to pin down, every CTD thread would be solved, rather than it being almost entirely the opposite.  I just have the facts to go by: Having about 4000 or more animations causes the CTDs to begin cropping up reliably, hiding about 500 of those (without otherwise changing mod load order) causes them to become extremely rare, and the SKSE debug points straight at Skyrim itself with the same exact address violation every time.  No less an authority than Fore himself has said that this is an unsurprising result when one registers too many animations (and he wasn't talking about FNIS's inherent limitation).  As far as being incontrovertible, that's good enough for me.

I got exactly 4543 animations in FNIS experienced 0 crashes and the crashes that i experienced I fixed them easily by the elimination method(disable mods and enable them 1 by 1)
