tm2dragon Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Title should be pretty self-explanatory; which program should I use to load mods into Fallout, being the poor, computer un-savy sap that I am? Also, should I install this "F4SE" thing, and is there a guide to explain how?
ButchDiavolo Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 At the moment, I think the only easy to use mod loader is NMM. ModOrganizer 2 is being worked on, but I haven't been paying attention to how far along it is. Personally I have been using NMM and had little problems with it so far. As far as F4SE goes: You can install it now if you want, but truth be told, I believe there are no mods out there (YET) that need the extra functions F4SE (will) provide. After the GECK comes out (around April) and modders will be able to created more complex mods, THEN it will be important to start using F4SE. But the mods will state that it needs F4SE to function. As far as installing it goes, if you download the 7zip version, there will be a text file included that explains how to do it. But it is extremely simple: just copy the .dll and .exe files into the Steam/FallOut 4 directory.
