Help for a Newbie

Hey all, I'm new to both Skyrim and using sexual mods for a game. I've heard a lot of good stuff for Skyrim when it comes to adult materials, but frankly I'm now sure what exactly I need to get to the naughty fun times.

What exactly are the mods I need to be able to have actual sex in the game, as well as get raped by enemies (and potentially even monsters)? I apologize for being clueless over this, but I'd really rather ask a silly/stupid question rather then make a fool of myself.

I do have all the DLC for the game, so that shouldn't be an issue, and I believe its up to date on patches.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best guide for that is: @Anatriax's Guide to an Immersive Skyrim.

Mislink?

EDIT: Correct link http://www.loverslab.com/topic/47360-anatriaxs-guide-to-an-immersive-skyrim/

Anyways, on topic the bare minimum you need is:

XPMSE Skeleton - with it's prereq of Realistic Ragdolls and Force

A body replacer. Personally I would say look into getting (and learning) UUNP bodyslide, but before I used that I used 'Women of Skyrim' on nexus, as if I recall correctly that contains a UNP body replacer and skin textures. Edit: I lied, it just happens to work on the vanilla body, so you'll probably want something like Dimonized UNP body.

Fores New Idles In Skyrim (FNIS). You will need this for all the custom animations.

All of those are available on nexus, if you search. Then on here you will need:

Sexlab.

After that, you'll need to do run FNIS to get the animations to work, there should be guides on how to do that for whatever mod manager you use on the FNIS page

After that it's a matter of picking your flavor of triggering sex animations. Sexlab Matchmaker is a spell based tool, and probably the best way of testing everything is working. There are a number of combat rape options, Defeat is the main one still being actively developed I think, Submit is another option, or Deviously Cursed Loot has it included, as does SexLab Deadly Drain.

For non-combat sex there's a ton of options. Eager NPCs and Sexlab Solutions are 2 off the top of my head right now, but there are a ton more - you just need to dig through the dowloads section and see what suits.

NB: Many of these will have pre-reqs, such as Zaz Animation Pack and Sexlab Aroused Redux, so always check mod descriptions.

Sweet holy mollies! This looks beyond highly complicated...

What exactly is a body replacer? And the mention of custom animations is in reference to the sex animations I'd be getting right?

Ugh.... this is going to be time consuming even if I go with the bare minimum isn't it? Curse work.

Yeah, it can be a bit daunting, though that in that link you're mainly looking at phase 6 and phase 8, the rest is more toward making the game in general look pretty and improving mechanics. Tbh if someone had shown me that list when I started modding skyrim I probably would have run screaming for the hills, it's all stuff you will probably want to do eventually, but in one go it's a big task.

Can I ask if you're already familiar with adding any mods to skyrim, and if so, what method you're using?

Body replacers are essentially that - they replace the vanilla body with something better, and most mod armors are designed towards them. The two main choices are UNP - close to vanilla, fairly natural slim body, or CBBE - more curvy 'fantasy' body. There are a bunch more, but I'm gonna ignore those for simplicity, and there is also bodyslide, which essentially lets you make pretty much any body you want. IMO (and this is just opinion, others may disagree) it's best to start with just a normal UNP or CBBE body, as you can always change it up later.

UNP: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/6709/?

CBBE: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2666/?

Then you'll need a skin texture for them. SG Renewal is one a lot of people use, you'll need to look in the files section of it's page on nexus and pick the version that matches the body type you chose.

I'd just go step by step, work out the skeleton (XPMSE) body and skin - i.e. get you character naked, then worry about the animations and next steps after.

I've installed mods for games that had you downloading an exe file, running it, and that was it.

The few games I tried that had mods that were a bit more than that, I had bad luck with.

I am not, as I believe my first post stated, (or maybe I didn't) I'm not familiar whatsoever with adding mods to Skyrim. These will be the first things I've ever added to Skyrim.

this is really making me wish there was just one file to download and run and it had everything that was needed. My experience with mods that don't basically install themselves is miserable.

Yeah, skimming back you did make it fairly clear, I just went ahead and skipped a bunch of steps. Whoops.

Unfortunately there is no one-click solution as such. Steam Workshop is I guess, but it's limited and ofc you will not be able to get any of the mods here that way. I believe there is a 'walk through' process called S.T.E.P. Project. I've never used it though. Personally I picked up a bunch of it from youtube videos. I think these guides might help you:

Here's his guide on SKSE, which is pretty much the very first thing you'll need to do before any modding:

https://youtu.be/xTGnQIiNVqA

And his guide to Mod Organiser, which is generally regarded as the best tool for adding and removing mods for Skyrim.

https://youtu.be/PYY1OV2_ZTk

After that you would need SkyUI, and then you pretty much have the basics for starting to mod. Overall it's gonna take a while though, you can probably expect to spend a few hours learning what you need and getting set up. I would say it's worth it though, it's very satisfying to be able to get a game *exactly* how you want it, and be able to add new things to keep it interesting.

Personally I would get those 3 installed, and get used to adding a few mods off nexus before attempting mods off here, as they can be a little more technical. Again, worth the investment of time in my opinion, even if it's only to exact some bizarre sexual revenge on some NPCs you dislike. Which I've totally never done. Honest.

Looking even a bit at those videos, this is both reminding me how impatient I am, and how I am basically completely ignorant when it comes to technical stuff in regards to computers. It almost feels like I'm looking at something in a different language is the frustration I'm experiencing.

Which is of course making my impatience even worse. Ugh.

EDIT: What is this STEP project you mentioned?

http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.9.2 Edit: Ninjato beat me to it!

Again, I can't comment on how useful it is, I looked at it when I initially started modding skyrim and found it a bit offputting, but a lot of people seem to use it.

The only thing I can say in regards to your impatience, is it gets a lot easier once the initial steps are out of the way. Setting up new mods becomes much more click-n-play.
