If I have a (T)BBP (or HdT) body and I put on "normal" (i.e. un-altered) armour, what happens?

Nothing, right? The body just "shrinks to fit" so to speak and it becomes hilariously noticeable when I remove said armour?

 

Reason I'm asking is because one of the mods I was vaguely interested in had armour support for vanilla but not the DLCs. According to my brainybox, that just means that (T)BBP will be present for vanilla, and nothing happens for DLC - "missed potential" as it were. The problems arise when I attempt this the other way around, i.e. (T)BBP armour and vanilla body

 

Is the storm my bonce cooked up correct?

Correct.

 

Armor has its own body attached and it can be different from body you use (either vanilla body or replacer).
