Ini files for modding

For modding I know that you are meant to follow these instructions to enable - it http://wiki.nexusmod...od_Installation

 

However on line 2. it says to check that Fallout4.ini and Fallout4Prefs.ini aren't read only, however I only have a Fallout4Prefs.ini. Furthermore line 5 says go to the bottom of Fallout4Prefs.ini to the [Launcher] line however this line is nowhere in the ini file. Meanwhile line 5 says go to Fallout4.ini (which doesnt exist in my files) and change the set of stings in [Archive]. I do have an archive section hover this is located in the Fallout4Prefs.ini section, not where the guide said it is.

 

On top of this I haven't tampered with my Fallout 4 folder yet as this is just after a clean install onto a new hard drive. Does anyone know if these instructions are wrong/outdated and if so what are the new instructions. If these are the correct instructions does anyone know wtf is up with my ini files and how to fix them as I currently cannot mod. Thanks for any help.

found the rest of the files now and have done the changes. However when i open up NMM it still says I need to make some changes to Fallout4Custom.ini . Are these the the 

 

1. Open Fallout4Custom.ini with your favourite text editor.
   
   * Note that this file was changed from Fallout4.ini following update 1.2
   
   
2. Add the following lines to your Fallout4Custom.ini
   
   [Archive]
   
   bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
   
   sResourceDataDirsFinal=
