Haloeye Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Does anyone have a guide or something that shows or gives stats and information in regards to body types and such? Right now I am using CBBE, but I have been curious about the UNP and Such. But I never remember all the different types. I just know there is like...seven different varieties or something. Additionally, I have noticed that in the Body Slide provided by CBBE that there are actually taps for what appears to be other body types. Are certain body replacer mods actually compatible? Sorry for the load of questions, just curious.

Sorry for the load of questions, just curious. The big ones are CBBE, UNP, CHSBHC, and SevenBase. UNP also branches off into standard UNP, UUNP (although UUNP is really just a slider set for UNP), and UNPB. Some lesser known bodies include Dream Girl and Adec Caribbean Body. Unfortunately, I don't know all of the types either, so I can't list every single one of them, but these are some. On your compatibility question: If you're asking if female body mods can be used alongside each other, then the answer is yes and no. The same body cannot modify an NPC or the PC at the same time, because body mods all edit the same files. One would always overwrite the other. However, mods that add new non-generic NPCs can have different bodies from the player and generic NPCs, but only if that non-generic NPC uses its own body files. Custom races can also use different bodies from other races in the same way. If you want different races and different non-generic modded NPCs to use different bodies, then they must have skin textures that fit those bodies, or else you will get missing textures and/or seams. The only exception (pretty sure) to this is that you can use male body mods and female body mods alongside each other, for very obvious reasons. All of the options you see in BodySlide are presets that either tweak the sliders of the body, or enable the body to use different mechanics. If you select CBBE HDT, for example, your body can use HDT. The other options you see are for UNP, because UUNP has been incorporated into BodySlide. For just as obvious reasons, UNP users want to select UNP options and CBBE users want to select CBBE options.
Haloeye Posted February 11, 2016 Author Posted February 11, 2016 Gotcha. Thank you very much Mr Beast. Do you know what the body differences are? like how they are sized and what-not in comparison? It's strange. I have CBBE and I try and use the slider, but it doesn't appear to work on any of the npcs when I bring up the body slide menu in game.

It's strange. I have CBBE and I try and use the slider, but it doesn't appear to work on any of the npcs when I bring up the body slide menu in game. I'm not too knowledgeable on all the differences except for the really obvious ones, but I'll give it a go: UNP by default is a bit thinner and has a longer area between the breasts and legs, whereas CBBE is has a bit shorter of a size there (although it's not that much of a difference). I've heard people say that CBBE looks really unnatural as well because the breasts look like balloons and the butts look like soccer balls, but I've never felt this way, likely because you can use BodySlide on both CBBE and UNP to customize how you want the body to look. Due to that, I'd say the biggest difference is probably in the waist/stomach area, but again, I'm not an expert on the differences, so I'm not quite sure. Sevenbase is built a bit more muscularly, and the breasts and butt are both quite large, and can't be changed due to not having BodySlide support. CHSBHC comes with animations and a skeleton (pretty sure) and the butt and breasts are sized up to quite an unnatural level; these are the ones that look like balloons to me. The Caribbean body is quite on the heavy side in all areas, and Dream Girl is a bit thinner than most others. UNPB is basically UNP default with much larger breasts and butt. If you're using the BodySlide desktop tool, clicking on the "Build" button, and making sure that BodySlide replaced the bodies in your character assets (meshes) folder, then I'm not quite sure what to say. I haven't really experienced this issue myself or heard of the issue. One thing you could try doing is building the bodies using "ctrl + build" and then manually replacing the femalebody files yourself. If said NPCs aren't wearing armor or clothing that you've batch build in BodySlide, then the armor/clothing will reset the NPCs back to their default bodies instead of using the new bodies, so that could be the problem as well.

Ah. See, I don't have it on my desktop. o-o;I have the bodyslide CBBE mod where it's included in, and I can bring it up using EFF to mod followers proportions and stuff. That's what my real curiosity lies. I can change some of the followers proportions but not others, and there are multiple menus that don't seem to work. Even the ones that should. So I've just been wondering if anyone knows about it an stuff.
