CNKTHoward Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Hey, as the title suggests I'm wondering if it's possible to change the various grass ini parameters while actually playing, without having to reload/restart the game. This would f.e. help with screenshots, either by adding more (prettier) grass, or remove grass if there is some clipping going on. I, f.e., can't play on "full" grass settings with 60 FPS although my PC is pretty good. But when I'm looking for aesthetics rather than performance, I don't want to restart the game for this purpose. :/ I'm not sure if normal console commands would suffice, so I'm thinking about a mod that could change those settings when reloading a cell.
romualda5 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Yes you can chage destiny in ini pref iMinGrassSize=80 to 30, 20. http://wiki.step-project.com/Skyrim_Flora_Overhaul
CNKTHoward Posted February 9, 2016 Author Posted February 9, 2016 Well that doesn't help to set the grass density WHILE playing :/
Guest Vendayn Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I haven't heard of a way, unless there is a secret console command I never heard of. Everyone talks about doing it in the .ini file (never see anyone suggest doing it in-game), so that is probably be the only way. It sure would be useful being able to change it in the game itself, though.
Kastagir Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Yes you can chage destiny in ini pref Destiny? Well that doesn't help to set the grass density WHILE playing :/The refini console command loads and reapplies settings from Skyrim.ini as well as any .ini files associated with enabled plugins.

Ups , density. So much of it hurt? I can not speak English perfectly, because I'm not from this country. I wonder how well you wrote in Polish?

Nope, I only know this in ini, but this is visible after off and on Skyrim. It's not good for play, but look good for screen. I think here is smart people then me and they know better.

Sorry, it was a joke (changing destiny in the .ini file). I guess I should have made that more clear.
